Both good games. However, Sleeping Dogs is a really good port, while Dark Souls is a really bad one.

Not sure if I'll end up getting GW2, given my change of career and the inconsistency of internet access while on the road. I'm planning to get a new laptop within the next few months, and as long as it can play Borderlands 2 I'll be happy.

so far gw2 has been good, although running is slow imo. events are fun. dc once but didnt lose anything.

Yeah the running could be a bit faster. Otherwise I do love the events, though I wish there were few less people sometimes, like when you get an event boss you just see a hoard of 20 people smooshed together, though I guess that annoyance will go once the bosses get bigger.

I played quite a bit this morning, but I haven't been able to log on for the past 3 hours. Me and a lot of users, not sure if it's a EU issue or world wide.


Mal - What laptop are you thinking of getting? Take a look at the Dell Inspiron 7520, it's an i5 with a 2GB AMD Radeon HD 7730M card and about 6GB or RAM.

I'm thinking of getting that one for work soon since it's cheap but has specs good enough for a bunch of gaming.

Slow is better than not at all.

I've checked out the Dells and would certainly buy another since my last one is nearing 6 years old and still has minimal issues. However, I'm having a hard time talking myself out of this beast. It's still a month or two until I buy a new one though, I won't be earning per-mile pay for a few weeks yet, and after that I have a credit card to pay off and a $350 bottle of scotch to buy. I was initially going to just get some ultra-light portable thing, but I would miss gaming. I've got time to research though, so we'll see.

I loved the first one, but it had a lot of problems. Second looks like more of the same. Gonna get around to playing it eventually.

I'm not very far into it, but I've enjoyed it so far. They made quite a few changes from the first. The controls and stuff are the same, but the way they're doing the upgrades, mutations, etc. Is done a lot better in my opinion.
