Yes. My theory that uzumaki chakra + ems= rinnegan is coming to fruit after all. People said senju chakra was required but I finally have a chance. Booya

Am I the only one getting sick of Rin? She was in like five chapters, was a basic damsel in distress, we know nothing about her really. Other than Tobito liked her and Rin liked Kakashi. Kishi could have given us a deeper connection to Rin in 599, but no one fucking talked. But, now she's a major plot device in the story. Fuck it.

Also I say we're about five chapters away from Sasuke and Tobito crying as they show each other on a doll where the bad men touched them.

so he did leave his eyes to Nagato. Madara implanted one sole eye to keep its function. He is alive only due to the tree he made using Hashirama's dna. Obito is implanted with Hashi arms n leg. Obito did want to return to Konoah. Madara did make a deal with him to revive him. Obito gets more eyes by participating in the Uchiha massacre. Madara fled underground and became a prisoner of his own beliefs. Not as interesting but at least we are getting some answers. So Madara already created Zetsu or it's form. From the look of it, it seems he is already building the zetsu army. I think Zetsu came second to Obito but his form was already available.

Edit: able to slip away, did Obito awaken his MS during the rock slide onto his body? Madara said he was found in his cave or hideout underground..which means he phased through

I guess Madara will give his left eye to Obito, the eye which he used Izanagi later in the fight with Konan. The slip away thing is confusing, does this mean that Obito doesn't need MS to slip through things??

I suppose that fixes one part of the timeline, like I thought would happen. Still, the exact nature behind how Madara gave Nagato the Rinnegan is quite troubling; afraid that's probably all we're gonna get on that one. Btw, I feel Obito's reveal could have turned out much better had Kishi actually fleshed him out more and made his interactions with Kakashi more frequent and actually made Tobi's behaviors allude to something. If it wasn't for the past few chapters, we would have simply thought Tobi didn't give two fucks about Kakashi. It's like grudges and connections between Tobi, Kakashi, and Rin are being forced to happen in order to justify Tobi's identity, which just doesn't seem natural at all.

I don't think it is a plot hole. He may have meant that before he died his eyes transformed into rinnegan after being implanted into Nagato and not him unlocking it on its own.

Actually this isn't a plothole. He said alongside Kabuto he awoke these eyes before he died. He has not died yet and he has already given them to Nagato. So he awoke them and then blessed Nagato's eye sockets with them. He replaced one eye with a Sharingan and the right eye is still empty. Still is alive hanging on the thread that is Hashirama. No plothole there or maybe I missed your point.

SHORTLY before he died he awakened the eyes.

Or is that at least 10 years in your dictionary ?

Not that I want to try to defend this too much, but Madara does talk in vague terms. He could consider his "death" to be when he could no longer play a role in the world's events and had to hook himself to the Hashirama tree of plot convenience.
