There was just a tiny little cut. Sasuke made a much bigger cut when hit the Rakiage with his chidori at the kage meeting, and even that was basically nothing. It should have been obvious that it wasn't enough to bother ichigo.

Not unless they though the shear shock from the blast was enough to knock him out or something, and even that is kinda dumb.

You may have determind that some of the black scraps around Ichigos neck is blood in the only 2 panels that show his head/throat and Juha's sword, but given the strength of the character, and sheer size of the swipe, it can't logically be blood. If you count the panels, it took 3 before he even noticed he didn't cut Ichigo. At least thats what I got.

Given that Ichigo never said it one would assume he wasn't as powerful in that state. Example I don't think Juha could cut Yama in half while he was in Bankai.

This has been his bankai's new look since the end of the Fullbringer arc. However, Yama even pointed out that his bankai isn't fully evolved. So it's very likely that he hasn't reached his full potential.

I agree, thats what I meant, additionally I gathered Juha Bach didn't know, because the coward didn't stay on the battlefield more than 15 seconds with Yama before ganking his, couldn't do it. They're afraid of Bankai's for a reason, cause they didn't have anything equvilant on they're own. Thus the 'Great Ones' equate to a band of thieves with skills not even great enough to take out Arrancar without using they're enemies strength/abilities, or basically Parasites.

Yama explained that, too. He figured they couldn't steal someone's bankai if they didn't know its full strength. Since Ichigo's bankai still has some evolving to go, they don't know its full strength.

Therein lies the problem with this manga, Renji's has developed supposedly, one would think Rukia, Kira (should've before he perished), Rangiku, and prolly Hisagi would have Bankai's and they couldn't be known. The whole set up of the stealing of the Bankai's comes off just wack, without specific rhyme or reason. Since the beginning of the manga, Ichigo is the only one that has 'achieved' Bankai from my knowledge. Ikkaku and his side homey has had theirs hidden since forever.

It's possible that Yamamoto's theory about them stealing the bankai was wrong it's not exactly fact they have to know the potential of it

It does give a reason why they couldn't steal Ichigo's in the beginning.

Well maybe Ichigos Bankai has a quincy level after its full-bring level that follows the vizard/hollow level that tails the Shinigami level.

It basically goes like this for Ichigo:
Shikai>Bankai>Vizard Bankai or whatever>Vizard Full Bring Bankai>Vizard Full Bring Quincy Bankai>Vizard Full Bring Quincy some-other shit that's overpowered Bankai etc.

What I'm saying is that Yama wasn't wrong.
