But, I'll humor you with a couple of quick points:

1. If the jutsus are so different, or have different versions as you claim, why bother naming them the same name? Makes no sense and Occam's Razor says that the Sage's ability, Banbutsu Souzou, is the precurser to Izanagi, not just another version of it.

2. The manga states that the Uchiha don't need Senju DNA to perform Izanagi, as Madara/Obito are the only known Uchiha with Senju DNA and Izanami was created to counter Izanagi long before Madara fought with Hashirama.

Considering the overwhelming majority of the english speaking fanbase, on top of the original raw, says you and KYF's version of things is wrong...yes, you are deluded.

Tobi then says the jutsu comes from an original application of a jutsu called BS. However UNLIKE BS and the SAGE, he could much more with the application of Izanagi, than simply cast a genjutsu on one self.

So obviously you simpleton, it is a different version of it, although it bares the same name.

...Izanagi was Originally the practical application of the sage's creation of all things....

...with the power of the uchiha and senju being one....

...the sage was both bloodlines, both clans... and with his power he created many things....

Ya know what I haven't been here in a minute but I'll chime in on the Izanagi topic. Sorry for the biblical reference but it's what came to mind.

God created humans in his image giving them some of his capacity(power) . God created man (bs) And man creates man by giving birth ( izanagi).

The ability to create or bs tech is possessed by both god And man but bringing into existance or izanagi ( it's practical application) differs

The sage is god humans are the uchiha ( women) the uchiha have the ability to create same As god aka the sage but can't do it without men (senju) uniting the bloodlines the yin and yang ( x and y chromosomes)

So man or rather woman and god both possess BS yet how they perform izanagi or level of creation is what differs cause Izanagi done by a god and another by a weaker mortal.

Makes sense when you think about it
