All feedback is appreciated, good or otherwise, can't improve without honest critical feedback.
Who do you think is uncharacteristic? I do try to keep them in character, or in sync with their personality, generally the way I see them saying lines in my head seems to fit. E.g. There's some lines in the past chapters I've made sure that only Ukitake says as I think it wouldn't be in character for Kyoraku to say them.
But maybe I'm not portraying that accurately with the way I write.
If you're referring to Ichigo or Aizen I can totally understand as I'm trying to make them grow as characters quite fast. As is probably obvious i'm trying to make Ichigo more serious and insightful and with Aizen...well I haven't decided how far to take him yet lol.

But any specifics on the characters would be appreciated.

524: The showdown Begins


Scene opens up where it left off before. Zaraki stands with both hands on his sword hilt, his reiatsu storming up in to the sky. 50 feet away wairudo stands facing him slightly bowed with one hand on his sword which is still sheathed.

Zaraki: Let’s see if you can cut me now!!
Wairudo: As you wish.

Zaraki immediately raises his sword and gives one downward stroke still maintaining his position. The whole area fills with dust and debris and obliterated them from view.
As it clears you see Zaraki standing in the same position as before, his sword down low maintaining its position. In front of him, in line with his sword, the ground is broken up and destroyed and a massive gouge reaches all the way to the base of the Senkaimon.

Zaraki: haha, what happened? Why’d ya move?

Wairudo is no longer directly in front of the Senkaimon, he has moved a dozen feet to its right. The sleeve of his right arm is completely ripped all the way up to the shoulder.

Wairudo: Such power! You repelled both of my slashes and almost destroyed the Senkaimon.
Zaraki: hmph, as if I care about that. I’m only here to fight you.
Wairudo: …You trulyare worthy to be called Kenpachi.

Wairudo straightens up and pulls out his sword slowly from its sheathe and holds it out in front of him.

Wairudo: My Shikai’s ability is based on speed and sharpness, in other words to be able to land the first hit and cut deeply. But, it seems that it’s speed and cutting power aren’t enough to pierce through the force of your raw reiatsu.

He turns his sword so that its tip is pointing down.

Wairudo: I had no desire to go this far, however fighting at this level would take too long. Goodbye Kenpachi of Zaraki.
Zaraki: hah

Shizen suddenly appears beside Wairudo.

Shizen: Captain!
Wairudo: Shizen, has Kurosaki Ichigo been taken care of?
Shizen:…
Wairudo:?!... You can debrief me later. Use your bankai and contain him, I have no wish to kill him.

Shizen Plants her sword in the ground in front of her and jumps towards Zaraki.

Shizen: Bankai! Yoi Tsuki no Okoku!!

A circle appears surrounding Shizen and Zaraki. Shizen’s sword disappears from the ground and appears in her hand.

Zaraki: Huh?
Wairudo: Shizen, incapacitate him and then report to me for a full briefing. Be grateful to Shizen Zaraki Kenpachi, thanks to her your life will be spared.
Kyoraku: I’m afraid we may not have the luxury of being so merciful Wairudo san.
Wairudo:!!

All around the Senkaimon the captians of the Gotei 13 appear, they all have their swords drawn at the ready.


Scene change to Aizen

He is still seated in the same position as before. His head is tilted, his eyes staring down at the floor. He remembers Ichigo’s last words, speaking them softly to himself.

Aizen:…Maybe this time you could use it to protect…

He looks up at the wall of flames, the flicker of flames reflecting off of his eyes.
He remembers a scene back when he was a lieutenant in the Gotei 13.
The captain commander is standing in front of all the lieutenants, addressing them. Aizen is standing near the back in his lieutenants robes watching it all.

Yamamoto: It is only the weak that worry about the choices that they have to make.
Young Aizen:…
Yamamoto: The strong know the choices they will have to make!

One of the other lieutenants leans over to Aizen and whispers.

Lieutenant: That’s easy enough for him to say.

Aizen nods in acknowledgement but never takes his eyes off of the captain commander.

Yamamoto: They are not strong because they are more powerful, they are strong because they know that ultimately there are only ever two choices. The power to protect and the power to take.
Young Aizen:…
Yamamoto: You are the backbone of the Gotei 13! You have been given the power to protect!! Grow strong, throw away any weakness you have!! Step into the future and protect it with your lives!!!

Everyone gathered yells in unison as Azien stands there watching quietly.
The memory fades from Aizen’s mind as he slowly stands up from his chair, he looks at the wall of flames once more this time focusing on it.

Aizen: …it seems you plan to haunt me even after your death…

Aizen begins to walk towards the wall of flames.

Aizen: It seems though, that I have made my decision.


Scene Changes back to the senkaimon.


Wairudo stares at the amassed captains. There are a couple of lieutenants spread out amongst them too.

Wairudo: Why would you do this? Surely you know that you cannot win!
Kyoraku: Wairudo san, we may not be able to win alone, but neither can you. We would rather that you fought with us but…
Wairudo: …so you all have chosen annihilation.
Ukitake: If annihilation is our fate than we would meet it gladly.
Unohona: We could either retreat, as you have requested, and wait until the day come for us.
Shinji: Or we can meet them on the battlefield and take as many of those fuckers we can with us.
Komamura: Given the choice, our choice is to fight away from our subordinates so that their lives may be spared.
Hitsugaya: If that means we have to go through you first then so be it!

Wairudo looks at each one of the captains as they speak.

Wairudo: …How pitiful. You could not protect soul society, you could not save your Captain commander.
Captains: !!
Wairudo: You could not defeat the enemy and you could not follow the orders you were given. This is how pitiful the Gotei 13 have become and yet you stand there telling me that you have a choice?!
Kyoraku: …
Wairudo: If this is where you wish to fall then so be it!

Wairudo raises his hand into the air and clenches it into a fist. Behind him 3 members of the Zero squad appear. One of them is the one that visited Byakuya in his room.

Wairudo: Where are the rest?
Ichigo: Sorry but I had to take care of them.
Wairudo:?!!

Ichigo appears a dozen feet behind Wairudo and the Zero squad members. He is carrying two of the Zero squad members over his left shoulder. He throws them towards Wairudo and the others.

Ichigo: Don’t worry they’re not hurt too badly, I just had to knock them out, but you may want to tell them to be a little more vigilant in the future.
Wairudo: (He took out both of them and I didn’t even notice! Did he not release any spiritual pressure at all?!)
Ichigo pulls out his sword in one fast motion and slices it across in front of him

Ichigo: *Joukaku Enjou*!
Wairudo: !!! That is -!

Tha air around the Zero squad members bursts into flame, circling around them and sealing them within.

Ukitake: Joukaku enjou?!
Kyoraku: It seems that Kurosaki san has retained some of the captain commander’s techniques.

Ichigo looks at the blazing flames.

Ichigo: By the time you get out of there we will be long gone. The choice is yours as to what do after, you can stay here and let us fight it out on our own, or you can come back us up and help defeat them once and for all.

Ichigo walks away from the blaze heading towards Kyoraku and Ukitake.

Ichigo: Kyoraku San, please open the Senkaimon, it’s time we left.


Scene Change to Zaraki

Zaraki is standing off against Shizen, he seems scuffed and is breathing a little more heavily than before.

Shizen: Have you had enough? I can finish you off now if you’d prefer.
Zaraki: Hah, you’ve been trying to finish me off since the beginning but this is one pain in the ass ability.

Outside a blazing circle of flame appears trapping Wairudo and the others, no sound seems to pass through though.

Zaraki:!!!
Shizen: What the hell is going on out there?!

Zaraki’s expression is stone cold serious. All sign of humour has gone from his face.

Zaraki: Let me out of here girl!
Shizen: Hmph
Zaraki: Let me out now before it’s too late! I have to find out?!
Shizen: Too late? As if you can do anything in your position, what is that you want to find out anyway?
Zaraki: I have to know if HE was the Kenpachi that came before me!
Shizen:??

Zaraki stands holding out his sword one handed and points it at Shizen.

Zaraki: Do not push me into doing…Let me out now!
Shizen: …why is that so important?
Zaraki: …There was only one reason why I took the name Kenpachi…so that that Bastard who had the name before me would come to find me!!
Shizen: …?

Zaraki’s reiatsu suddenly explodes out in a huge storm. His Maniacal grin is back on his face as he meets eyes with Shizen.

Shizen:!!
Zaraki: You took too long. *Bankai*!!!

Thanks Guys. I don't know how up and down it will be after i get married, (lots of other little things involved with that which i haven't mentioned) which is why i said after my honeymoon (just in case).

But touch wood there might be some breathing moments after christmas and i might be able to get something up, but don't hold me to it

Plus to be honest i knew roughly how i was going force his bankai to come out, (i.e. not because he was geting beaten but becuase he wanted to get somewhere ) but i haven't still come up with what his Bankai is gonna be yet.

That is the project for the next few weeks until i can get another chapter up!

Managed to squeeze one more in before the long break.
It seems everyone is focusing on Zaraki at the moment lol lets hope my bankai isn't too bad compared to what he gets.

Bleach525: The showdown Begins 2


We start where we left off in the last chapter. Zaraki stands facing off against Shizen, His reiatsu exploding wildly.

Zaraki: Bankai!! *Tokihanatsu! Meikai no mao*. (Unleash! Demon King of the Underworld)
Shizen:??!!

The sky all around them suddenly dims turning almost black. Green and purple mist appears all around the battlefield, trailing around even without any wind. High above in the air, right in the centre of the battlefield, a large skull appears with its mouth open (picture the skull like form of Zaraki’s reiatsu when he first fought Ichigo). Dim lights shine within its eye sockets, the left one purple, the right one green.
Shizen looks towards Zaraki, he stands there looking the same. Nothing seems to have changed about him. Her eyes focus on his hand. His hand and most of the hilt of his sword have completely disappeared covered by what looks like a glove shaped like a skull. The hilt is being held between the teeth of the skull.

Shizen: You?! You were not supposed to have a bankai! When did you…
Zaraki: hmph, it was that old geezer. He decided it was finally time.
Shizen: ?! How did we not notice-
Zaraki: Urahara Kisuke
Shizen: !
Zaraki: The Captain Commander forced him to use the technique he developed for bringing out a person’s bankai.
Shizen: …. Tch, so even a monster like you has a Bankai, it changes nothing! However much your power has increased and whatever your abilities may be, I’ll make sure you cannot take a single step. This is the speciality of my Bankai, capture and detainment.
Zaraki: Haha,
Shizen: (I won’t make the same mistake as I made with Ichigo, there’s no need to rush in against this monster, I will not give any openings! ). Cough, Cough?!!

Shizen looks over at Zaraki who is still standing still and grinning manically.

Shizen: What is this?!
Zaraki: Poison
Shizen: What?!

Zaraki stretches out his arm clearly showing his sword to Shizen.

Zaraki: I’ve never really cared about my sword or its powers. I’ve always liked to fight alone. When Urahara forced my Zanpaktou to come out and take form it wasn’t too happy with the way it had been treated.
Shizen: …
Zaraki: hah, it wanted to kill me there and then. So we decided to have a showdown to decide. If I lost it got to kill me or do whatever it wanted, if it lost then it would have to continue to put up with me.

Zaraki focuses his gaze onto its blade. It glints in the dim light.

Zaraki: You put up a pretty good fight hehe.
Shizen: Cough, to think that a Kenpachi would end up having such a bankai! To have to poison his opponents!

Shizen sneers at him clearly disgusted. Zaraki stares at her for a moment, still grinning widely. A thin line of blood slowly trickles down the corner of his mouth. He wipes it away with his left hand.

Zaraki: It’s not just you.
Shizen: !!
Zaraki: My sword is quite a sore loser. So even after its lost it’s doing its best to get its own back at me.

Zaraki points the tip of his blade towards the large skull in the sky.

Zaraki: That, targets me and everyone I am currently fighting. It is not limited by distance or numbers. As soon as anyone joins the fight they come under its affect and it only stops once the fight is over. It lords over us as a demon king, punishing certain actions and rewarding others.
Shizen:…
Zaraki: Doing nothing is not entertaining. The poison is punishment given in advance. If we stand around doing nothing or take too long to defeat each other the poison will kill us both. If we want to avoid that punishment then we have no choice but to fight.
Shizen:!!!

The grin on Zaraki’s face grows even wider as he points his sword out towards Shien.

Zaraki: To think that a Kenpachi would have such a bankai?! HAH! What better Bankai for a Kenpachi than one which makes you fight!!!


Scene change to Yamada Hanatoro

Hanatoro stands outside the main doors of the Kuchiki household. They are still standing intact though parts of the walls around have been reduced to rubble. Two guards stand before it blocking his way. He looks a little nervous and afraid but pulls out something and holds it for them to see. It is a necklace with a pendant on the end of it. The pendant is shaped in the form of the Kuchiki clan crest.

Hanatoro: I am on a mission assigned by the current head of the Kuchiki clan, Kuchiki Byakuya… ummm please let me through.


Scene change back to Ichigo

Ichigo and the captains are still standing around the Senkaimon, Kyoraku is standing directly in front of it along with Kurotsuchi Mayuri, they seem to be doing something with everybody else standing a little further behind.
To one side you can still see the roaring flames that are entrapping Wairudo and the other Zero squad members. A little further off you see the circle in which Shizen and Zaraki are trapped. It now looks completely black, opaque and unable to be seen through, it looks like a black dome on the ground.

Ukitake: Ichigo san, you seem to have recovered well from the previous battle…how are you feeling?

Ichigo is staring at Kyoraku , he gives Ukitake a sidelong gaze and then carries on staring at Kyoraku.

Ichigo: It’s, ok Ukitake san, you don’t need to be worried.
Ukitake:…
Ichigo: (sighs) between Urahara san and Ryujin Jaka I understand what’s going on and what has led up to this fight.
Ukitake:…It was about Rujin-
Ichigo: As I said, it’s fine. He tested me and I passed…he is a part of me now.
Ukitake: I See…when I saw that you had come back I thought as much but I felt obligated to make sure…you seem somewhat…changed.

A very slight smile breaks across ichigo’s lips as Ukitake says this.

Ichigo: There was a lot he had to teach me, it wasn’t easy and it certainly wasn’t pleasant.

He finally turns his head and looks Ukitake directly in the eyes.

Ichigo: but I’m not crazy if that’s what you mean…though it was close.

Ukitake stares into ichigo’s eyes for a few seconds and then takes a long measured breath, releasing it out slowly.

Ukitake: That’s good.

In front of them a portal suddenly opens up within the Senkaimon. Kyoraku turns around and looks towards Ichigo.

Kyoraku: It’s done, we can go anytime now.

The black dome of Shizen’s realm suddenly explodes catching everyone off guard. The ground shakes at the sudden release of reiatsu. Everyone looks at it in shock and surprise.

Zaraki stands there looking normal, no longer in Bankai mode. No sign of the skull or mist can be seen. Shizen stands in front of him absolutely still, her sword raised high and sideways in a blocking position. A long gash can be seen going down the front and back of her, blood flowing out and pooling below. Suddenly the blade of her sword cracks and drops to the ground. Shizen collapses straight down a few moments after it.

Ichigo:!!

Zaraki looks down at the fallen figure at his feet.

Zaraki: Tch, you should have realised that defending would also be something that was punished.

Hi Guys. Its been difficult to find time to write but finally managed to squueze some in. hopefully it reads well as i didn't really enjoy writing this one much, but hopefully once i get to the fights i have planned the pace will pick up little.

Bleach 526: Invasion


Scene opens up on a cave entrance on the side of a mountain. Ryuken stands at the entrance of the cave looking out. He has a half smoked cigarette in his hand. He looks at and sighs and then flicks it away. He half turns his head to look into the cave.

Ryuken: Come on boy, it’s time for us to make our move.

Inside the cave you see Uryuu sitting on a rock, he slowly stands and walks towards his father.

Uryuu: Where are we going?
Ryuken: …isn’t it obvious? It’s finally time to fulfil the last request made to us by the Captain Commander.

Ryuken disappears from the entrance of the cave, Uryuu looks on for a moment at where his father was standing and then himself disappears.


Scene Changes to Hueco Mundo

Juha Bach sits on his throne inside his ice Palace. His posture is relaxed though his expression does not look too happy. To his side his underling stands erect, he no longer bears any signs of injury from when Juha Bach struck him before.

Juha Bach:…
Underling: They’ve already reached soul society as per your wishes.
Juha Bach:…
Underling: With soul society all but unprotected they’ll attempt to take out the Zero Squad first.
Juha Bach:…
Underling: Even though the Zero squad is virtually an unknown it can be safe to assume that our men will all be defeated.
Juha Bach:…
Underling: However we should comfortably achieve our objective of winnowing them down and weakening them enough to be picked off by us later.
Juha Bach:…
Underling:…Bach Sama?

Suddenly Juha Bach releases a huge amount of Reiatsu. The whole place shakes and the underling is forced down to one knee by the pressure. His fist comes crashing down on his right arm rest, smashing it to pieces, as he roars.

Juha Bach: Where is he?!!!

Just as suddenly his reiatsu disappears and the room stops shaking. He leans back slightly on left armrest now seemingly even more relaxed than before and says in a calm voice.

Juha Bach: He should have arrived by now. I do not like to be kept waiting.

The underling slowly stands to his feet once again taking in deep breaths.

Underling: He may not have survived-
Juha Bach: No. If he had not survived, then the Zero squad would have acted by now. The fact that they haven’t means he is still alive.
Underling: ...If Kurosagi Ichigo has indeed survived, would they not most likely choose to strengthen their defences in soul society rather than-
Juha Bach: -Taking the defensive against us won’t work, they’ve already learnt that the hard way. No they will surely take the offensive and try a surprise counterattack and move the battle away from their precious soul society. The only question left to be answered is why he is not here already.
Underling: hmmm…

Juha Bach turns his head to stare at him with a questioning look.

Juha Bach: hmmm? That is the fastest you’ve ever given up on an argument. Have you become tired of playing the devil’s advocate already?!
Underling: Not tired, however it is certain that he has survived and their next moves will be predictable. And so it may be better to discuss whether we are prepared for when he does come?
Juha Bach: That – ?!

Suddenly high above the Palace a garganta opens up and something comes shooting down out of it. It shoots through the roof of the palace and crashes into the ground less than a 100 feet away from Juha Bach. The ground is completely torn up from the force of the impact with chunks of rock and debris lining the crater that has been formed and dust filling the air.
As the dust clears coughing can be heard from the crater.

Zaraki: f’ing b’ard

Zaraki pulls himself out of the crater and looks up towards the roof he just crashed through.

Zaraki: What the f’in hell are you playing at Ichigo!!!!

Ichigo suddenly appears standing next to Zaraki. He stands calm and straight looking at Juha Bach. His Voice is soft as he speaks.

Ichigo: Zaraki san, I told you, everything else can wait until we finish this. If we lose here, then everyone dies anyway. If you wish to settle your squabble personally, then make sure that you don’t lose here.

Zaraki looks at Ichigo for a moment before he starts to stretch and crack his neck.

Zaraki: Hmph, that old fart really did a number on you didn’t he? You’re no fun anymore.
Ichigo:…
Zaraki: Well I guess now that I’m here I have no choice, just make sure you give me a good fight once we get back and I might feel merciful.

The sound of someone clapping fills the air. Zaraki turns to see Juha Bach walking towards them clapping his hands together.

Juha Bach: Marvellous, so you have finally arrived. But to come alone, just the two of you? You may be two of the special war potentials but don’t you think you are underestimating us Kurosaki Ichigo.

Juha smiles a big open smile as he spreads his arms out wide. A menacing glint appears in his eye as he says.

Juha Bach: after all, have we not just turned your beloved soul society into a pile of rubble!!

Bach turns quickly to look behind him and grabs bare handed the blade of a sword coming out of his shadow just about to stab him in the back. He holds it there not allowing it move any further.

Juha Bach: Not that I really expected you to come alone, after all, you are on the verge of being wiped out so why hold back anymore.

Shunsui slowly rises out of Bach’s shadow holding his released swords. He strikes down at Juha’s hand with the sword in his left hand. A blinding light envelopes the whole room making everyone squint. As it fades Shunsui appears standing close to Ichigo, he is slightly singed with his cloak sizzling around the edges. In front of Juha Bach you see the wall opposite him blown apart leaving a massive gaping hole. Juha Bach turns around once more to face Ichigo with a smile on his face.

Juha Bach: Going for the decisive blow straightaway? Surely you didn’t think it would be that easy?
Shunsui: Well I was never one to drag things out…but I guess it can’t be helped.

Tremors suddenly shake the hall as explosions sound on the outside one after the other.

Juha Bach: So you didn’t come alone.
Shunsui: We did come to annihilate you after all, no point in holding back now since it’s the endgame.

Bach looks at Shunsui smiling and then begins laughing out loud.

Juha Bach: the endgame? Ha it has barely begun shinigami captain.But yes…let us truly begin the endgame as you say.

Bach holds out his arm, his palm open and facing towards Ichigo.

Juha Bach: *Sankt Swinger – Kui*!!
Ichigo:?!

The ground around Ichigo erupts as he is encircled in towers of reishi shaped like the Quincy Cross. Ichigo stands there in its centre looking at it as Zaraki and Shunsui get pushed back by the force of it.

Juha Bach: Sankt Zwinger Kui, the devourer, is something I originally created for your Captain Commander. It was a needless precaution, however one it seems that won’t be completely fruitless.
Shunsui/Zaraki: …
Juha Bach: It is the ultimate defensive form of Sankt Zwinger that utilises any energy used against it to make itself stronger.

Juha Bach spreads his arms out wide either side. As he does so the whole hall is suddenly filled with hundreds of foot soldiers.

Juha Bach: Now stand there and watch helplessly as I destroy the last of your remaining hope!!

Bleach 527: Hope


Scene opens up in the palace in Hueco Mundo. The two captains have been joined by Ukitake Joushiro and are fighting off against the mass horde of troops. They look as if they’re getting pushed about but no one seems hurt at all.
You see the many bodies of the troops that have already been cut down littering the floor yet the room is still filled with them.
Ichigo stands within the cage of Reiatsu calm and straight watching it all.

Zaraki is surrounded by himself fighting a massof troops. You can see him laughing as he swings his sword each one cutting down a foe. Shunsui and Jushiro are standing back to back taking down a horde of troops that are attacking them.

Shunsui: There was no need for you to come in here, we could have handled these troops.
Jushiro: I thought it best after I felt the attack on Ichigo san, tch, all his troops are going to get massacred and he just plans to stand there smiling and watch.
Shunsui: Well they are only pawns after all, it seems their job is only to tire us out so that we’ll be easy pickings later.
Jushiro: It’s like Aizen all over again.
Shunsui: Hmmmm

Shunsui suddenly spins around on the spot whipping both his swords out wide. *Bushogoma*!! Twin blades of wind fly out encircling half a dozen troops in a tornado and then blasting them away.

Shunsui: What we need to do first is somehow get Kurosaki san out of there. We will need his help to finish this, especially if we have to go up against Zanka no Tachi.
Jushiro: We’ve not been able to get close to him since this battle started, however when our eyes made contact earlier he mouthed the word bankai to me whilst shaking his head and pointing to Juha Bach.
Shunsui: …So it seems Kurosaki san is aware of what your Bankai is then.
Jushiro: Yes, and also that I run the risk of it being stolen if I try to use it to free him.
Shunsui: So then, we either try to distract Bach and take the risk or we find another way of releasing Ichigo

Suddenly an arrow flies right between them and pierces the chest of one of the troops attacking them. They both look around in surprise and see Bach, about halfway across the room, holding out his bow smiling and looking towards them. Bach speaks and his voice is eerily clear even amongst the din of battle.

Bach: How easy do you think it will be to distract me?
Shunsui/Jushiro:!!!
Jushiro: He’s been listening to everything we’ve been saying!!

Bach looks at them and gives them a massive grin.


Scene Change to Ichigo

He stands in the centre of the area surrounded by the pillars of reiatsu. His sword is planted on the ground in front of him and his hands are resting on its hilt. The energy released and flowing between the pillars emits a crackling and humming sound which completely blocks out the noise of the battle going on outside.
Next to Ichigo you see Zangetsu standing, his black cloak spreads out all around him giving off black flames. A voice can be heard seemingly coming from the flames.

Ryujin Jaka: They have some skill these soldiers.
Zangetsu: But nowhere near enough to defeat the captains that are standing here.
Ryujin Jaka: That was not their purpose to begin with.
Zangetsu: There does not seem to be a single stern ritter amongst them.
Ryujin Jaka: Ichigo, what do you plan to do? We cannot continue watching as both our fronts get attacked.
Ichigo: … Soul Society will have to hold its own for the time being, as for here, we just need to wait for our distraction to arrive.
Zangetsu: …Distraction?
Ichigo: He’s been watching this fight since it started, it’s just a matter of when he plans on making his move.


Scene Change to Soul Society

Five of the Stern Ritter stand together surveying Soul society. One of them, Sternritter E Bambietta Basterbine, has a sulky look on her face.

Bambietta: seem like a lot of this place managed to survive, sigh.
Sternritter I, Mazrim (the one with the hood up): Are you still sulking about the Bankai’s? get over it will you.
Bambietta: Well it isn’t fair, why do I have to get the slowest and most boring one?! Darius didn’t even manage to capture one and yet he was still given one better than mine.
Sternritter D, Darius: Like you did much to capture yours, just coz you managed to pop out in front of a captain doesn’t mean you get any extra brownie points. Anyway it’s not my fault As Nodt managed to get himself killed.

The Sternritter next to Darius starts to swing the medallion around on his finger. He's big and muscly dressed like a punk rock star with lots of piercings on his face.

Sternritter J, Logain: And don’t you go saying anything to me, it took a lot more effort getting hold of this after Overkill got himself handed one than you just standing around waiting for some captain to say Bankai.
Mazrim: Enough!! I think it’s about time we began or would you rather explain to Bach sama why everything is still standing when he arrives and see’s you lot there squabbling.
Bambietta: (Cold as bloody ever)
Mazrim: Voldo, I think you should do the introductions.

To the side the masked Sternritter steps forward and lifts up his medallion.

Sternritter V, Voldo: With pleasure, *Bankai, Jakuhourai kouben*

An explosion of smoke engulfs him, as it clears the massive missile launcher of Soi Fon can be seen across his arm. He aims down his arm as he sets his sights on the central section of soul society that is still standing.

Mazrim: Let it burn.

The missile fires racing across the ground full of rubble to the still standing buildings. The whole area, the size of approximately 3 football fields side-to-side explodes as the missile strikes one of the buildings in the centre. As the flash of light and dust subsides you see a crater and nothing else, not even rubble, left behind.

Bambietta: Even that one is more fun than mine!
???: Well I’m afraid that the time for your fun and games is over.
Sternritters:??!!


Scene Change to the battle in Hueco Mundo

Juha Bach stands watching the battle smiling as he sees the Captains getting pushed around. His underling stands to one side surveying the battle as well.

Underling: Bach sama, should we not finish this off now.
Juha Bach: No, I wish to enjoy this more, this is the closing chapter on the history of the shiigami, it should not be rushed.
Underling:…
Juha Bach: Baien, go see to the troops outside, make sure they finish up quickly and then get ready to head to Soul Society. I will join you once I have finished things here.
Baien: Yes Bach sama.

The underling bows and disappears. Juha Bach turns to survey the battle once more. He suddenly disappears and appears a few feet away looking a little surprised.

???: I see that your sense of presence hasn’t left you at all.

Juha Bach looks to roughly where he was previously standing and Aizen shimmers into view standing sideways, he has a smile on his face now.

Juha Bach: So, you have come too Aizen Sousuke. I had not expected you to change your mind so fast, why have you come?

Aizen turns slightly so that his full profile can be seen. As he turns on the left side of his waist you see a Zanpakuto come into view. He slowly draws out the blade and hold it out in front of him.

Juha Bach: You have a Zanpakuto again?!
Aizen: I came to be a distraction.
Juha Bach: ?!
Joushiro: *Bankai*!!


Scene change back to Soul Society

The Sternritters all turn around in the direction of the voice. A couple of hundred yards behind them stand Ryuken, Uryuu and Isshin standing nonchalantly.

Isshin: Not that you managed to hurt anyone since everyone has been evacuated already. Thanks for cleaning the place up though, it’ll make rebuilding much easier.
Logain steps forward from the Sternritters still spinning his medallion, he’s grinning widely.

Logain: hehe, We haven’t started the clean-up yet.
Bambietta: Duh, did you think that we didn’t know those were empty buildings.
Logain: Our teams mission was only to weed out the watchdogs left behind and…clean them up. I guess that must be you guys.
Ryuken: Watchdogs?

Ryuken begins walking forward towards the Sternritters, the cigarette in his mouth leaving a trail of smoke behind him. He takes a long pull and then takes the cigarette out of his mouth.

Ryuken: since when do the rats come out of the woodwork to hunt watchdogs?

He stops about a dozen paces away from Logain, he takes another long puff from his cigarette before flicking it forward. It flies through the air and bounces off Logain’s chest. Logain watches the cigarette drop to the ground and then crushes beneath his boot.

Logain: There are only three of them, go draw whoever else is left. The Zero squad is out there somewhere, eliminate them.

The other four members of the Sternritters get enveloped by shadows and disappear. Logain looks towards Ryuken and grins again.

Logain: I think I’ll have some fun with you before I finish you off.

Ryuken turns his head sideways so that he can see behind him, he nods once and both Uryuu and Isshin disappear. He sighs and pulls out a packet of cigarettes and lights up another one.

Ryuken: Though you may know of me I do not believe we have been introduced. I shall do the honours.
Logain:…
Ryuken: My name is Ishida Ryuken, son of Ishida Soken, inheritor of the title ‘last Quincy’

He takes a long drag of his cigarette and blows the smoke out slowly.

Ryuken: and I’ve come to show you children why playing at being Quincies can be bad for your health.

Bleach 528 & 529: The Last Quincy

Scene opens where it left off in soul society.


Ryuken stands facing off against Logain. He stands quite relaxed with his left hand in his pocket and his right hand holding his cigarette.
Logain has a slightly surprised look on his face as he stares at Ryuken.

Logain: So you are Ishida Ryuken, hmph, his majesty speaks highly of you, even if you have chosen to forsake the Quincy.

An arrow explodes into Logain’s back making him stumble forward a step.

Ryuken: Lesson 1, Children should not involve themselves in the matters of adults…and lowly Arrancars should know better than to speak of the Quincy in front of me.
Logain: ?!!

Logain stares at Ryuken who hasn’t moved an inch or even changed his stance. His face however has gone deathly serious.

Logain: (How did he?! He hasn’t created a bow or even flinched! How did he get that arrow behind me?!) …So, you noticed I was an Arrancar.

Ryuken takes another long slow drag from his cigarette.

Logain: You realise don’t you that you don’t stand a chance against me, against any of us.
Ryuken:…
Logain: huh, thanks to his Majesties techniques we have far surpassed you and your archaic way of doing things. We are the new Quincy! You should just die out already “last Quincy”!!


Ryuken has a flashback of when he was slightly younger, he stands before his father who is holding out a pentagram medallion

Ishida Souken: You have now inherited all my techniques Ryuken, it is time for you to learn the true history of the Quincy.
Ryuken: ??

Flashback changes to a time slightly further ahead.

Ishida Souken: Always remember the path we have chosen Ryuken and why, honour our choice.
Ryuken: Yes father
Ishida Souken: The right path to tread is never the easiest. The easiest path may bring the quickest rewards but never the most.
Ryuken:…
Ishida Souken: never let the allure or glamour distract you from the truth, last quincy.
Ryuken:?!


The flashback ends as another arrow strikes Logain in the back making him stagger forward.

Logain: argh (there is definitely nobody else here, so how is he shooting me?!)
Ryuken: Lesson 2, children should know better than to preach to their seniors…and they should never fail to learn Lesson 1.
Logain:… I’m gonna-
Ryuken: I have no desire to dirty my hands with you any more than I have to, so you get this one chance. Return that stolen medallion and skulk back to hueco mundo if you wish to live.
Logain:…


Logain suddenly disappears and appears flying 100 yards behind Ryuken. His bow is already formed in his hand and 3 huge arrows are already halfway to striking Ryuken.
The ground beneath Ryuken’s feet explodes outward into a cloud of dust. Ryuken goes flying straight up into the air narrowly dodging the arrows, he still has one hand in his pocket whilst he takes a drag from his cig. His movement seems completely effortless.

Logain: ?! I didn’t see him move again, so what was that explosion and why did he go flying up into the air?
Ryuken: you can use Hirenkyaku fairly well considering your handicap. I’m quite impressed; if I had to grade you I’d give you a 4.

Logain halts, watching as Ryuken casually falls down headfirst towards the ground, at the last minute Ryuken twists and lands on his feet. Next to where he stands a hole still smokes in the ground from where he jumped.

Logain: (Did he shoot an arrow into the ground so fast that I couldn’t follow it?) My handicap? What handicap?!

Ryuken Suddenly appears standing with one foot on Logain’s shoulder. The cigarette is in his mouth now and with his right hand he is spinning a de-activated seele Schneider on his index finger.
Ryuken: That you’re not a Quincy of course.
Logain:!!!

Logain vanishes, re-appearing about 50 yards away facing towards Ryuken.

Ryuken: That one was much scruffier; you get a 2 for that.
Logain: (even though he has not advanced any of his techniques his skills are nothing to be sniffed at, I can’t even follow his movements and yet he doesn’t even seem to be trying).
Ryuken: decided to take the sensible option yet…?
Logain: Your skills are certainly impressive, though it’s my own fault for taking the title of ‘last Quincy’ so lightly.
Ryuken:…
Logain: I should have realised that there was only one way we could fight here, by the very techniques that you forsook.

Logain grips his medallion and raises his hand high, a beam of light shoots out from the ground, rising high forming a pentagram at the top. Wings grow out of Logains back as his form changes and a pentagram appears over his head like a hat.


Scene changes to Hueco Mundo with Aizen still facing off against Juha Bach.


Joushiro: *Bankai*!!

Juha Bach looks in the direction of Joushiro in surprise. An explosion of reitsu spreads out in a circle from Joushiro. The mass of troops surrounding him get blasted back in all directions, even Shunsui gets pushed back with the force of the reiatsu. As Joushiro straightens up from his fighting stance nothing seems to have changed about his attire. Both his swords look exactly the same apart from two things. They are no longer connected by the rope as they were in Shikai form. Their colour has also changed, one has a black hilt and white blade whilst the other has a black blade and white hilt. Behind him in the air (similar to Hitsugaya’s bankai) 9 huge cards (similar to the ones that were linking his swords in shikai form but larger) are floating in the air. They are arrayed like a diamond, 3 in the middle, 2 above and below them, and a single one above and below those.
Juha Bach turns to look at Aizen

Juha Bach: So you think you can stop me from taking his Bankai?
Aizen: Hmmmm, I think I already have. As I see it you have to be stationary to steal it for him and the process may be fast but I doubt its instant.
Juha Bach: …
Aizen: So the question is if you can’t dodge, then do you think your Blut Vene is strong enough to block my attack?
Juha Bach: …and what makes you think that his Bankai can remove a technique that I created to seal Yamamoto himself?

Aizen smiles at Juha Bach as he speaks as if he finds his question extremely funny.

Aizen: Well, as I think it has just been proven, it’s not always about power and strength but about having the right counter for your opponent.
Juha Bach:…
Aizen: and in any case, the bankai of Ukitake taicho has a splendid ability.
Juha Bach: So you know what it is.
Aizen: I’ve read of it, though it will be my first time seeing Namiutsu umi to ikari no name.
Juha Bach: the rippling sea…and waves of rage…
Aizen: Indeed, it is very like his shikai with a few significant changes however.

Bach tenses and directs his gaze to joushiro once more. Joushiro is running towards Ichigo, all the soldiers near him have been blown away, yet there still remains a good six lines of troops blocking his way to Ichigo. Bach looks back at Aizen.

Juha Bach: And what would these changes be?
Aizen:??!

Aizen stares at Bach in confusion for a moment and then a look of surprise crosses his face, he turns to look at Joushirou. Shunsui has blown away the troops blocking the way, Joushiro leaps forward and strikes towards. There is an almighty explosion as everything and everyone in or around the barrier is blown high up into the air. You see Joushiro, unconscious, the highest of them all now falling, his swords slipping out of his hands.
Aizen turns to look once again at Bach who now has a massive grin across his face.

Aizen: So you were just playing the fool and toying with us.
Juha Bach: Namiutsu umi to ikari no name, a Bankai that absorbs any expelled force, be it reiatsu or merely the physical force of a slash, and stores it in one of its 9 Talismans. From which the users reiatsu can be added to increase the power or speed and then released at will. It truly is a splendid ability.
Aizen:…
Juha Bach: and if you wish to look at anyone with those admonishing eyes then maybe look at yourself. You were aware that I knew what his bankai was and yet still let me lead you into this trap. I don’t think you were so naïve in the past Aizen.
Aizen:…
Juha Bach: so, did you have a plan B?


Scene change to soul Society

Logain: Look upon it! The Quincy Volstandig that you chose to reject. The pinnacle of a Quincies ability taken to new heights and yet you chose to reject it just because it was created by his majesty.

Logain disappears again this time appearing right behind Ryuken and grabbing both of his arms just above the wrists and pulling them back and apart so he can’t move.

Logain: and now you can’t shoot any arrows. Do you see now what you rejected, what we gladly accepted? This is how easy it was to take out the last Quincy and with this you and your antiquated ideals will die out with you.

Ryuken’s head is tilted slightly downwards as if he is looking down at the ground. His face looks sad more than anything else. He lets out a long sigh.

Ryuken: …I do not like my elders being spoken ill of, so before the end I’ll enlighten you.
Logain:…
Ryuken: Your Quincy Vollstanding wasn’t some crowning achievement for the Quincy, it was despicable abomination.
Logain:?
Ryuken: there were two reasons why the Quincies chose to reject your master and this ability. The first, that though it increases your ability to absorb reiatsu you lose the ability to control it.
Logain: Control it? What are you talking about?
Ryuken: Since you were never a Quincy you’d never know, a Quincy can control what reitsu they take and how much they take. In this way they can ensure they do not cause any harm to any living thing. However your ability especially Sklaverei, takes every last shred of reitsu from any of the targets around you, completely destroying and eradicating them, this is abhorrent to a Quincy whose mission is to protect.
Logain:…
Ryuken: and the main reason why we rejected your Quincy Vollstanding is because it was a path leading us to weakness and decadence.
Logain: You still say this whilst I hold you at my mercy?!
Ryuken: Hard work always triumphs over easy gain, didn’t you know that. No matter whether it is strength, speed, reflexes, whatever it is, and your ability is just the easy way out, it takes away the necessity to train yourself when you can just overpower yourself with reishi.
Logain: and you’re saying that too much reishi is a bad thing?
Ryuken: It is if you can’t do anything with it.
Logain: huh, as if-
Ryuken: Rule Number 13; a Quincy that requires his hands to fight is not a true Quincy.
Logain:?!!

Ryuken kicks out his right leg in front of him and at the same time raises the heel of his left higher into the air standing only on the front part of his foot. A massive bow appears between his feet with an arrow aiming down the middle, the string being pulled back by the toe of the right foot whilst the heel of the left holds against the centre of the bow making it tilt up with it. The arrow fires at Logain’s chest at point blank range and explodes covering the area dust. Ryuken appears about 30 or so feet away from it still standing at ease.
As the dust clears you see Logain standing roughly where he was before, his left arm and shoulder are no longer there. His chest is blackened singed from the explosion. He stands there panting looking towards Ryuken.

Ryuken: you managed to move just enough so you didn’t take it in the chest, your reaction is impressive.
Logain: How…How can you be this strong without Vollstanding. Even my Blut Vene couldn’t stop it!!
Ryuken: I’ve already said it, your Vollstanding is a weakness. Your master wished to rebuild the Quincy, but he did not wished to take the time it takes to train them properly, even if he was willing, there are not many people who have the talent and the mental traits to become a full quincy. His answer to this was the Vollstanding.
Logain:… I don’t-
Ryuken: Even amongst all the quincy in our prime there were only a few that could attain what is the pinnacle of our abilities. Those that were considered to have the potential to go all the way were presented with the Sanrei glove.
Logain: huh
Ryuken: It seems you know of that too, but I suppose your master saw it fit to only tell you about the basics of it.
Logain:…
Ryuken: The glove is the Quincies most precious training tool. You may be aware of the first part of the training and what happens if you were to take it off.
Logain: The letzt Stil
Ryuken: The letzt Stil was a side effect of taking the glove off early not an ability of it.
Logain: taking it off early?
Ryuken: The initial stage of the training with the senrei glove and the Letzt Still were the only things that the majority of normal qunicy knew. This was simply because in 95 % of cases these were the end results. What they weren’t aware of was that there were further stages of training past the initial stage if the user had the skill to advance that far before they were forced to take the glove off.
Logain:…
Ryuken: A Quincy that has mastered the ability to control his reiatsu to such an extent that he is not burned out by the removal of the glove has taken the first step towards reaching the absolute heights of a Quincy.

Logain stands there panting looking at Ryuken for a few seconds. He slowly raises his right arm straight up once more, holding out his pentagram.

Logain: So what?!!! We’re the bad little boys because we chose the easier way and you’re the good little boy who trained harder for longer? It makes no difference!! We will still win this war and you will still go to your grave, thanks to this!!
*Bankai! Koko Gonryo Rikyu*!!

A bolt of lightning bursts out from the medallion and shoots into the sky transforming into a dome of lightning far above his head. A large number of lightning pillars fasten it to the ground. A single pillar reaches from the top of the dome toward the sky which has now significantly darkened.
A bolt of lightning shoots down striking towards Ryuken, as it almost reaches his head it veers sharply curving down around him to strike the ground at his feet, it travels the ground around him forming a circle. The effect it leaves behind is as if Ryuken has a dome of lightning surrounding him.

Logain:!! How…how is it possible? Not even Sklaveri could absorb reishi fast enough to stop a lightning bolt!

Ryuken raises his hand slighty, palm up, to about chest height, you can see the reishi being absorbed around his hand.

Ryuken: I’m not stopping it.
Logain:?!
Ryuken: Stopping it would take up too muich energy and would still cause some damage, as you just said it would be too fast to absorb all of it. However, for someone who has completely mastered the ability to control reishi, diverting it is a simple enough task.

Logains eyes focus on the electricity continuously swirling Ryukens feet.
Logain: You…can deflect such powerful reishi? And control it long enough to absorb it??!

Ryuken sighs, he moves his right foot slightly ahead of him. He curls inward the thumb and the two small fingers in his right hand, he tenses his middle and forefinger and pulls them up slightly.
High above logain a humongous bow appears with an equally large arrow drawn.

Logain: (This is just like bach sama’s?!!!)
Ryuken: You were right earlier of underestimating the title of the ‘last Quincy’.
Logain:…please don’t-
Ryuken: it does not naively refer to something as merel the last of the quincy
Logain: I-
Ryuken: it refers to the last true Quincy master left alive in this world!

Ryuken mimics a releasing motion with his fingers and the arrow fires down from the sky, it blasts through the dome and crashes down upon Logain obliterating everything in a blaze of light.


Scene Change to Hueco Mundo

Aizen is still opposite Juha Bach, the rest of the battlefield seems to be focused on one are which is around Zaraki Kenpachi. You can see no sign of the other two captains.


Aizen: It seems as if I have no other choice but to put my life on the line.

Aizen sheathes his sword.

Bach: ?! I may not understand your intent Aizen, but ask yourself, is there any point? I will fight and defeat Kurosaki Ichigo at my leisure so what purpose does it serve for you die trying to release him earlier than I have intended?

Aizen smiles as he puts his hands together as if about to pray.

Aizen: You have your plans as I’m sure he has his.

A voice can suddenly be heard speaking high above over where Ichigo is trapped. It sounds eerily like Aizens.

Aizen: "Seeping crest of turbidity. Piercing blade, shattering shield. Arrogant vessel of lunacy! Boil forth and deny! Rise and sink, pull and throw!

Bach looks in the direction of the voice in surprise and then back at Aizen. The image of Aizen wavers as if an image in water rippling.

Bach: Are those-!!

Bach flies towards the direction of the voice, he brings out his sword as he’s flying raising it high above him readying it to strike.
Joushiro suddenly appears in front of him holding out both his swords. His clothes are torn and tattered and he looks pretty roughed up but still capable of fighting. The 9 talismans behind him are all full.

Bach: ?!
Joushiro: You were aware of what my bankai was, you should have been prepared for this!

A gigantic blast fires out of both of his blades and envelops Bach before he even has a chance to stop or change direction.
Aizen’s voice can still be heard in the background.

Aizen: Grow numb and flicker! Disrupt sleep! Cower in the Dark, flee from death! Crawling queen of iron! laugh! Cry! Eternally self-destructing doll of mud! Unite! Repulse! Dreams, heavens, earth and air! Fill with soil and know your own powerlessness!

As the torrent of energy continues to be fired of Joushiro’s blade you notice that as it goes past the point where Bach was its turning into two smaller streams on energy.

The streams suddenly merge together once more as Bach appears far above it. His right hand, arm and should have been completely blackened and trails of blood can be seen going down and dripping of his fingers. His cloak has been completely ripped away.

Bach: Did you really think, even catching me by surprise that something like that would finish me?!
Joushiro: …No, it was just meant to slow you down.
Bach:?!
Aizen: Let eternity itself be scarred! *Hado 90: Kurohitsugi! , Hado 97: Sekai no dibaida!!*

Scene opens up high upon a Cliffside somewhere overlooking soul society from some way away. The 6 members of the the Zero squad are all there. Three of them are still unconscious with Shizen heavily bandaged. Wairudo and the other two members of Zero squad stand around them. They are all still fully masked apart from Shizen whose mask lies broken next to her.

Wairudo: Shizen is still in critical condition but I think she should be able to pull through. What is the condition of the other two Zenmaru?
Zenmaru: I’m not too sure, they seem like they’ve just been knocked out but they have been unconscious for quite some time.
Wairudo: hmmm, fine, we’ll leave them here for the moment. They should be secure enough this far away whilst we-

Suddenly far below four massive explosions occur simultaneously. Pillars of reiatsu rise high into the Sky from each location. The explosions are soo large that they can be seen clearly from where the zero squad are standing.

Zero Squad: ?!!!
Zenmaru: what the-
Wairudo: so it seems the rest of them aren’t wasting anytime.
Zenmaru: what do you mean?
Wairudo: Mine and your perception isn’t as good as Ginrei’s, especially at this distance. He noticed 4 other similar presences from where that other one was fighting.
Zenmaru:…
Ginrei: They left just before the fight, I believe their intent is to draw us out and face off with us here.
Wairudo: I doubt it’s their intent
Ginrei: indeed, Bach probably just wishes to keep us from joining the fight in Hueco Mundo and use up any energy fighting here before he comes.
Wairudo: Either way he forces our hand, we can’t leave them be here, left unchecked they could reduce everything to dust.
Zenmaru: There’s only three of us at the moment, we’ll have to leave the fourth one to whoever finishes first.
Ginrei: Unless they decide to join in on one of the other battles.
Wairudo:… No it seems like that won’t be necessary, one of them has already been engaged.
Zenmaru:?
Wairudo: Lets go, don’t waste any time in wiping them out.

Zenmaru flash steps away, however both Wairudo and Ginrei stay where they are. Wairudo turns his head slightly to look towards Ginrei.

Wairudo: So you’re staying then Ginrei?
Ginrei:…
Wairudo: Do you plan on defending him?
Ginrei: I would never ask you to break the rules captain.
Wairudo:… No… you wouldn’t would you, fine I’ll hear what he has to say.
Ginrei: Thank you.

Suddenly Byakuya flash steps before the both of them. He’s facing away from them and is down on one knee. He is holding a person in either arm. He rises and begins to turn around. As he turns you see that the person in his right arm is Hanatoro, as he turns around fully you see that the other person in his left arm is Orihime. He lets go of both of them letting them stand on their own. They both look a little worried and unsure looking around as if wondering where they are.

Wairudo: The human girl?!
Byakuya:…
Wairudo: …So that’s how you’ve managed to rise so quickly from your deathbed. How did you bring her here? All exits in and out are being watched, it would be impossible for her to come through one of them unscathed!
Byakuya:…

Wairudo: I see...as obvious as your intentions are, out of respect for Ginrei I have decided to hear what you have to say. Hurry up and say what you have to say so that we can clean up the mess you have made.

Byakuya looks at Wairudo for a moment; he then takes a step forwad and gets down on one knee bowing his head in front of Wairudo.

Wairudi:?!
Byakuya: Captain Wairudo of the Zero Squad, I have come seeking your permission to perform Harakiri.

Scene Change to Ryuken

Ryuken stands amongst the rubble of the battleground with a cigarette in his mouth. He stares up at the sky with a faraway look. Dust and smoke still trail the air from the battle. He takes a deep pull on his cigarette then removes it from his mouth, he speaks out softly into the air.

Ryuken: I’ll give you this much, you fought with the heart of a Quincy. You wanted to prove yourself so much you didn’t even use your arrancar abilities.

Uryuu appears a little way off looking at the destruction around him.

Ryuken: I thought I told you to go.
Uryuu:…I wasn’t sure if you would be ok…I didn’t think that you would win so easily.
Ryuken: You’ll realise it yourself once you fight them, they’re nothing more than grunts.
Uryuu: Grunts?! How can you say that?!! These grunts took down the whole of soul society!!
Ryuken: [sigh] After they stopped them using their Bankai’s.
Uryuu:…
Ryuken: I’m sure there are going to be stronger ones out there with irksome abilities, especially the real Quincy that Bach may have managed to get on his side. However, the only reason they’ve had it this is easy is because of the Quincy abilities they have been given.
Uryuu: So what are you trying to say, that they’re easily beatable?
Ryuken: hmmph you’re still letting your emotions cloud you and missing what’s obvious.
Uryuu:?!
Ryuken: Their Quincy powers given to them and the ability to steal and use or at the very least stop captains from using their bankai make them formidable. However, take all that away from them, and these guys aren’t even on the same level as the Espada.
Uryuu:! So what is it that’s worrying you?
Ryuken: …He could have easily killed off all of the hollow in hueco mundo before we had a chance to do anything and merged the worlds to fulfil his ambition.
Uryuu: …
Ryuken: he could have killed everyone with his initial assault on soul society and exacted his revenge.
Uryuu:…
Ryuken: …so why didn’t he?!


Scene change to Hueco Mundo


Aizen: Let eternity itself be scarred! * Hado 90: Kurohitsugi! Hado 97: Sekai no dibaida!!*
Jousiro: (!! The Black Coffin and the Divider of worlds together?! I wouldn’t have thought anyone was capable of such a feat!)

You see the black sides of Kurohitsugi begin to rise on all four sides of Ichigo’s prison. Not touching it but no more than a few inches away.
Ichigo looks up to see the sky slowly blotted out as the purple and black energy completely encases him. The energy swells and fluctuates as the powerful wave of gravity affects everything within. Aizen hovers high above it, looking down, his left arm is glowing with a blue light , he aims his arm directly towards Kurohitsugi and as he does the glow begins to increase until it’s a blazing blue light. The light completely obliterates Aziens arm from view. A huge torrent of energy starts shooting out from the top of his shoulder behind him at the same time the light where his hand is begins to swirl. It swirls faster and faster forming into a point. A beam of light, like a laser shoots out from the point straight into the ground on one side of Kurohitsugi. It moves to strike it, not in the centre but more to one side and slices through it cleanly from one end to the other. Kurohitsugi explodes with torrents of black energy like oceanic waves spreading out to all sides and rising high. They completely engulf Aizen and make Joushiro and Bach flash step far away.

Joushiro: (Ichigo!!!)

Ichigo appears right beside him, sword in hand.
Joushiro: You survived that?! Not even the captain commander could have taken that unscathed!
Ichigo: Ryujin Jaka was able to work out what Aizen was doing. We knew we couldn’t take that head on so were waiting for that split second when both Kurohitsugi and Bachs prison were pierced so that we could flash step out of there…it was close.
Joushiro: Aizen knew that Bach would be aware of my Bankai’s abilities and that there was a good chance that it may not work against it. He used that to trick Bach into creating an opening.
Ichigo: How is Kyoraku san, I couldn’t see with the explosion what happened to him earlier.

Shunsui appears beside Ichigo even as he finishes the sentence

Shunsui: hai hai Ichigo san, I’m fine, I just had to lay low for a little while to help with charade.

All three of them stare out as the raging explosion of energy still spreads out, you can see dust and smoke swirling with it.

Shunsui: [sigh] I wonder what you must have said to him Ichigo san.
Ichigo: …said to him?
Joushiro: Hado 97, The Divider of worlds is a forbidden Kidou. It requires the user to sacrifice a part of their body to create laser like beam. Its power is… It’s also extremely difficult to control on its own and he did a double incantation.
Shunsui: If I had tried to use that during our fight in Karakura town I wouldn’t have been able to stop it piercing right through the earth.
Ichigo:… he’s aware that Orihime can heal him if-
Joushiro: -No
Ichigo:?!
Shunsui: What Ukitake just said is only partially true, the user doesn’t merely sacrifice a part of their body they curse it. It was Aizens arm that was sacrificed, the area where his arm joined his body will have a cursed seal on it. To Aizen it will feel like his arm is still there.
Ichigo:…
Joushiro: But he won’t be able to move it, and the pain that the cursed seal will conjure upon his “arm” is said to be excruciating and not something that can be dulled with drugs.
Ichigo:…

The storm of energy slowly dissipates as does the dust in the air. As it all clears you see the battered torn up body of Aizen down below on the ground.
Bach stands hovering in the air a couple of hundred feet away from Ichigo and the Captains, his arm still bloody but a big smile on his face as he looks down at Aizen. His voice carries loud and clear as he speaks.

Bach: To be able to accomplish this much without the aid of your Zanpaktou, truly splendid.

Bach’s eyes turn to look towards Ichigo as he continues to speak.

Bach: But to what end, all he has managed to do is speed up the inevitable conclusion ever so slightly.

A hard look crosses his face as his tone becomes stern

Bach: There is nothing that you can change here Kurosaki Ichigo, your fates have all been sealed.

Ichigo stares at Bach for a moment before speaking quietly

Ichigo: Kyoraku san, Ukitake san, please attack when you see an opening, it’s time to end this.

Ichigo flies toward Bach at speed, raising his sword readying it for the slash. Bach’s face takes on the smiling mocking expression but makes no move to ready himself for the attack.

Ichigo: Getsuga!!
Bach: Hah

Ichigo suddenly disappears and appears about 100 feet to Bachs right

Ichigo: Enjou!!!
Bach:?!

A blazing Getsuga fires itself towards Bach, his surprised expression suddenly changes to a smile as it explodes flames raging out everywhere.
Ichigo stands watching as they slowly diminish, as the flames begin to disappear you see huge wisps of steam rise into the sky. As the final dregs of the flames disappear you see Halibel standing in front of Bach with her sword out.

Ichigo:?!


Scene Change back To Wairudo


Wairudo looks down at the kneeling figure of Byakuya in surprise.

Wairudo: what the hell do you mean?! What the hell is this Ginrei?!
Ginrei: …Kuchiki Byakuya, please explain yourself.

Byakuya speaks whilst still in his kneeling posture his head facing down.

Byakuya: I have already disgraced the name of the Kuchiki clan by losing Senbonzkura and allowing these Quincy to destroy soul society.
Wairudo:…
Byakuya: You, who are classed as superior officer to the captains of the Gotei 13, have also forbidden us to engage with the enemy. I cannot therefore attempt to regain my honour or remove this disgrace from my clans name without disobeying your orders. As the head of house Kuchiki and captain of the Gotei 13 this would shame our clan even further than the shame I have already brought upon them.
Wairudo: Are you-
Byakuya: -The only option left to me therefore is to either live out my days in shame or to perform hara-kiri. I have come to ask your permission and make a request. Please allow me to fight to regain my honour and to die by the hands of my enemy if that is to be my fate…and if you cannot allow that, please do me the honour of assisting me with my final task.

A few moments pass as you see the surprised and shocked faces of Orihime and Hanatoro. Wairudos face is still, hard and motionless not showing any emotion. He speaks finally, his tone sounding as if it is restraining a lot of anger

Wairudo: Gineri, is this….fool being serious?!
Ginrei: Please Wairudo san, do not shame him any further. Please understand the weight the man before you is carrying.
Wairudo:…
Ginrei: Please look carefully Wairudo san, look carefully at the man before you. It is not the captain of the Gotei 13 that kneels there pleading before you…
Wairudo:…
Ginrei:…Pleading before you is the 28th head of the Kuchiki clan, Kuchiki Byakuya.
Wairudo:!

Scene Change to somewhere in Soul Society

Sternritter I, Mazrim stands amongst a field of rubble and towers of smoke, his hood still covers most of his face. He turns his head to look in a direction just as Zenmaru appears.

Mazrim: You took your time in coming, I was just about to go destroy something else.
Zenpmaru: Pft, well I hope you enjoyed yourself because you’re times just about up.
Mazrim: hmph


Scene Change to elsewhere in Soul society:

Isshin stands breathing a little heavily; he’s slightly scuffed up but doesn’t seem to be injured and still has a cocky smile on his face. A little way away from him stands Voldo (sternritter with the mask) also looking a little scuffed but with no injuries.

Isshin: you don’t talk much do you? Heh, but your movement isn’t all that bad.
Voldo: …
Isshin: or maybe you’re pretty slow and I’m still a little rusty.

Voldo swipes his arm out in front of him left to right, his hand leaves behind a streak of light which almost immediately begins to shoot out arrows into all directions before it. Isshin begins to start dodging between the arrows flying all around him.

Isshin: This is more like my morning exercise than-

Suddenly three more voldo’s appear. They are all about few hundred feet away from Isshin, one on each side, completely surrounding him.

Isshin: …Hoo, these don’t look like mere kagebunshins at all, let me guess, this must be your hollow ability.

None of the four Voldo’s speak, the three that have just appeared all swipe their arms left to right leaving behind a strak of light.

Isshin: ?! hey, four on one isn’t fair!

Arrows fly from all directions heading straight towards Isshin.


Scene changes to elsewhere in soul society


Darius stands in his Sternritter robes, swinging his medallion around on his finger and whisteling. The millions of blades of Senbonzakura kageyoshi swirl back and forth around him as if wafting in a breeze.
Ginrei appears before him, still unmasked. Darius looks at him and smiles.

Darius: They’re quite something to look at aren’t they, very relaxing. Would you mind waiting a few moments as I’m quite enjoying the rest.

Ginrei stares at Darius and then shifts his gaze to the blades.

Ginrei: I’m afraid I’m only here to observe at present.

To his right Byakuya appears, his eyes immediately focus on the blades of Senbonzakura and anger rages across his face. Ginrei turns around begins slowly walking away from both of them.

Ginrei: and I’m afraid that waiting is the last thing on his mind.


Scene Change to elsewhere in soul society


Bambietta stands staring off way into the distance looking deep in thought.

Bambietta: (I wonder how long I have to stay before I won’t get in trouble)

She’s still gazing away as Wairudo appears in front of her, she looks at him for a moment in surprise and then a huge smile crosses her face and she begins to start jumping and laughing.

Bamabietta: What the hell took you so long?! I’ve been waiting ages!
Wairudo:…
Bambietta: finally, now I can take care of you and quickly go and take Logains medallion, yey!
Wairudo: I’m afraid you won’t be going anywhere-
Bamabietta: -yeh yeh yeh, I don’t have time for that, I need to finish you off quick.

She pulls out her medallion and raises it to the sky

Bamabietta: at least there’s one good thing about this bankai, it might be boring but it’s strong. *Kokujo Tengen Myo’o*

The armoured samurai giant appears behind Bambietta, drawing out its sword and holding it high.

Wairudo gazes up at the bankai without flinching, he places his hand on his sheathed sword and changes his stance.

Wairudo: I shall honour your last request and finish this battle off, quick. Cut the night I half Makaze Katta. His sheathe glows for a moment.

Bambietta: ?!!!

Wairudo shifts his stance once more to again stand normally, he removes his hand from his sword. Bambietta looks at him frozen in shock, behind her the armoured samurai standing equally still. Lines begin to appear on the giant samurai, first vertically, then horizontally and then diagonally from all sides. As they spread you see the same thin cut lines appearing on Bambietta as the blood begins to streak from them. You see a tear at the corner of her eye as it builds up.
The camera moves to look at Wairudo from behind, over his shoulder you see the giant samurai but Bambietta is obstructed from view.

Wairudo: Goodbye

The Samurai explodes.
