Huu?? Sakura doesn't need to die in order to advance the story. if Sakura was going to die it should have been done by Sasuke back when he killed Danzou. Sakura hesitating to kill Sasuke followed with Sasuke following through with it would have been the perfect setup. Kakashi being to slow to save her with Naruto arriving one minute to late after the fact. It could have been used as a plot device to change Naruto's motivation towards Sasuke from savor to vengeance. Since it didn't happen then it shouldn't happen now.

I still fail to see how Hinata has anything to do with this conversation.

Random thought but am I the only one who thinks it's cheap the way Kishi suddenly decides to kill off random characters at the end of the manga? I mean these deaths really don't have a great impact in the story & won't lead to future development for future arcs since the manga is on it's last legs. Seems rather pointless.

Neji dying came outta nowhere lmao,...no buildup or anything? Hanzo even had a more memorable death than Neji! Fuck Kishi...only good thing about this chapter was Obito finally taking the lead and Naruto will now go batshit crazy.

A thought, anyone else think that an Uzumaki is the perfect host for a Rinnegan? They can use rinne tensei without any danger (only reason Nagato died was cuz he used up all his chakra) and Nagato mastered the Rinnegan better than the Uchiha. I think Sasuke will die at the end and when he transfers his EMS into Naruto,Naruto will get the Rinnegan and then the legend of the Sage of Six Paths will happen again. He will seal Juubi into himself and yadda yadda

I sense the editors hands in that. This is the final act, so Kishi needs to ramp up the shock and awe as much as possible to enhance the eventual defeat of the final enemies.

madara also saved obito
and obito saved sasuke after his fight with itachi, like zetsu said, sasuke was fading and probably would have died (chakra exhaustion or something) if they didn't arrive

I'd rather a character who has actual relevance die. Like say Naruto, Kakashi, Sai, Shikamaru, Kirabi, Sakura, Hinata, & Sasuke. Neji dieing at this point is the equivalent of random shinobi #5 dieing. It wouldn't have mattered ether way.
