Compared to Neji Sai holds more relevance at this point. He's Naruto teammate & actually tolled Sakura about herself. He acted as the voice of logical reason between the team when it came to Sasuke. He's also been allot more useful & proactive in the war when compared to random shinobi Neji.

and neji dying is worthless but then they do have little history in the past (little is an overstatement but still ...) so i think there will be some impact to the way ppl will strt to feel esp when a konoho shinobis who have, i dont know how, have survived every mission they went, die.for readers maybe not but for naruto he will get some rainbow powers now, maybe due to his uzumaki lineage or the will of fire.

and the part with naruto not knowing what happened, maybe shikaku did not convey this to naruto alone. all others heard it except him and tht might be the plan itself

p.s. one clarification? is naruto able to make 3 rasen shuriken now with the SM? when did that happen?

^not necessarily u know. Madara has ems and obito just ms. which means madara can put obito in a genjutsu and ask him to revive him (if kishi wants to)

While that is true, Kishimoto never managed to convince me, the reader, that Sai was ever important. I always viewed him as a material that wasn't needed in the manga, and the writer never managed to make my belief different. Actually, Taka, Yamato and Sai are the only characters that I never invested a dent of thought into. Maybe only Juugo, but that was a long time ago. I know that Yamato is important being the Hashirama clone, but I still never got any care for him.

Everyone of them thus far (Minato, Shisui, Itachi, Neji) never lived up to they're supposed full potential (beyond Itachi, who had extra time in Edo world to floss), and wound up sacrificing themselves for something, or someone.
