Anyway, it was overrated as fuck. They had some fairly large burgers (like what you might find at Hardee's for example) but they had no taste at all. Everyone I know started calling Water Burgers. I've saw customers throw their food away and go across the street to Burger King.....That's pretty bad.
Dammit, I miss Hardees (breakfast... f'n huge fan of the country-fried steak biscuit... and all of their biscuits). We don't have one in B-more either. It's been almost 12 years since I was down that way. I enjoyed going down there and walking the access roads along the coast (pre-Katrina), lots of interesting tourist shoppes.

And for all of you talking about eating... hands down, the best food I've ever eaten period... Baton Rouge, LA, on a Saturday before a Saturday night game at LSU.

Love 5 Guys. Always get the bacon cheeseburger (double patty for those of you unaware), with lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo, and bbq sauce. Fries are f'n awesome too.

Never heard of Harvey's Mal.

Narudo board's particularly shitty today, what's going on here? I've gone way too long without spending time over this side of the boards.

Canada only, mother fuckers.

They basically grill burgers only as the need them, and only once you've ordered does the burger go to the bun (presumably with nice melted cheese and sizzling bacon already applied, unless you're a pussy (and/or Jew or Muslim I guess)), and then it's pretty much Subway style choosing your sauces and (fresh) toppings. Seriously fresh, they'll regularly dice onions or slice pickles throughout the day.

I never heard of them, but the menu looks promising. Those Poutine fry thingies look delicious as fuck.

After looking up locations a thought occurred to me. I may (80% chance) be traveling up to Vermont this Christmas to see family. I got a great aunt up there I've never met before that's in the process of dying. I personally don't care one way or the other since I have no bond with the woman other then being distant family, but my parents are all broken up over it and it gives me a good excuse to go with them. So, road trip!!!

I'm thinking about making a little side trip up to Canada since Montreal is only like 30 or so miles from her house. I got to get my plan together though. You (or anyone else) know any good places to visit in or around the Montreal area?

I believe most of the burger fast food franchises have the beef bacon option for those, Rated J for JUSTICE.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

We have this place called Backyard Burgers in Florida. Taste like burgers you'd grill on your BBQ grill. So fucking good! They're comparable, if not, better than Five Guys. Harvey's is also the shit.

Old Montreal, the location of the original French settlement in the area. Also, here's a handy guide.

I've only ever been in the Montreal air port and on a bus passing through, so I can't personally vouch for anything in particular.

Sounds the same as 5 Guys, except they cook on a griddle top, which is ok. But I would definitely prefer a grilled one... something about the grill... and it must not be gas either! That is blasphemous in the grilling world.

You must have a good Backyard Burgers then, because the ones in MS, AL, and TN that I have eaten all sucked, big time. Not to mention, the prices of Hardees/Carl's Jr. yet half the burger.

@Mal
Canada... the only good things from Canada... beer, maple sugar, hockey, hunting, several porn actresses, and a young Pamela Anderson.
