Anything that tries to pass itself off as porn without having so much as a sideboob shot needs to eat curb. Nuff said.

So did anyone play the Hobbit game that was on the PS2?

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

When you guys are talking these tests/paying fees... are they for state certification? I read an article where it said that numerous states were adjusting professional credentials now to make up revenues. My wife's a clinical audiologist, so she has to pay a license fee each year regardless, but I've had several engineer friends (what I want to go back to school for) say that they are having some issues now with credentials.

This certification is actually recognized on a global level. CompTIA administer exams for various areas in Information Technology such as computer repair, networking, security, and servers to name a few. So I won't have any trouble anywhere I go to prove my competency as a computer technician.

Well, since nothing has been posted in over a week, I thought I would post this. If this ends up being the case, I hope she gets the role of Miss Marvel.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

So I, who love Evangelion, note the user name, have never watched the reimagining of Eva that has been produced in these recent years.
But I did finally, just, see a trailer or the 2.22, and I must say, from the trailer, it looks as though they've completely missed the point of Evangelion.
It looks as though they've focused on the action, a few pivotal points involving the nervous attachment between pilot and Eva, and perhaps, maybe the very, very basica character interactions and drama from the original series.

Is there any one here who has seen it and can encourage me that it is other wise? That I won't be disgusted and appalled with what they have done with the Evangelion series, as someone who is very invested in the original?

Oh my glob, tequila makes me type super fast! My phone takes so long to catch up!

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

They're super fun action movies with lots of fanservice.

Kaworu also gets a much bigger role in the third movie, so I'd encourage you to watch it for that.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

The last bit about Kaworu is enough to convince me to see them, but I will definitely have to think of them as completely different entities, or I will have to think that they are terrible.

Super fun action movies with lots of fan service? Not Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

Are you kidding? Evangelion is a monster-of-the-week show with cool fight scenes that practically invented anime fan service.

If you're in it for the daft psychological angst, be assured that in the third movie, they bring that back in force. And not necessarily very well.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

Awe man.
I do love the fan service and the fighting, but it didn't feel "monster of the week" to me.
maybe because there's only 17 monsters in 24 episodes....
sort of. there's sort of 17...

And of course they bring the angst back full force in the third movie, I figured that when you said that Kaworu had a big role in it.
Anyway, tonight I will download them and begin my journey into the new Evangelion.
I'm sure I'll enjoy them, i'm just being skittish, just like I was with Matt Smith as the Doctor. I didn't want to give up my shining vision of the Doctor as David Tennant played him, but now that I've started the Matt Smith seasons, I'm totally enamoured.

Out of that whole movie those 2 scientist were the only thing you found cool? Really? I found them rather annoying. Especially the mathematical one. I liked that guy much better when he use to play on Torchwood. Which is a bit ironic since he played a doctor on that show that basically had the same role as his buddy in this movie which he constantly demeans.

On another note, the couple that piloted that russain Jeager kind of reminded me of General Zod's (superman reference) two sidekicks in a way.
