Ya' know, since people can supposedly be killed by kunais in this manga....right KYF. I say again, where is your god. Bring him forth, so I may slay him.
Couple things...

Hashirama's method of senjutsu has not been shown much less confirmed to allow the user to sense things. That is more of a natural ability of Senju/Uzumaki as shown with karin, hashirama, tobirama, ect.

All the Senjutsu of hashirama has been shown to do is increase the quantity of power of the User, thus create more wood for a half juubi size Buddha summon which hashi did with his senjutsu... Or, be used to seal all the bijuu at once with the gedo mazo in a couple second as opposed to needing days with a smaller amount of chakra possessed by multiple akatsuki...

Madara implied he knew from experience of fighting tobirama so much that tobirama would attack when he thought he had won, thus was expecting it. Has nothing to do with Sensing from what I can tell...

Even with the ability to sense the location of anyone using Sensing. Without the reflexes and physical speed to react in time, that ESP will do no good against a shinobi so much faster that his/her movements cannot even be sensed until it is too late and you have a Kunai in the brain stem or your head is plopped off...

And if Tobirama was not so physically slow with average reflexes/physical speed and had the super reflexes/physical speed that minato has, the attack would have actually been successful because no matter how fast you are getting to the ready position to attack with the FTG. You have to have a High speed of physical movement and reflexes beyond your opponents otherwise the attack will not work and the FTG gives you no advantage...

However, not everyone can have V2 raikage physical speed/reflexes and the FTG for an unrivaled movement (Velocity & agility) speed like Minato has just at his Base level...

No matter how POWERFUL/STRONG you are. If you cannot CATCH your Enemy, all you POWER/STRENGTH is no more USEFUL then a squirt gun....
And if You cannot possibly TRACK/REACT to your enemies attacks to Defend yourself, then how can you possibly stop him from DEFEATING you at WILL...

People live relying on they're Knowledge and Perception, and thus are bound to them.....
Those Boundaries are what they tend to accept as "Reality".....
However..... Knowledge and Perception are both ambiguous....
so "Reality" could be nothing more....
then an illusion....
