thanks shino for making this section.

anyone have any ideas on how official battles should be held?

like say in the gfx section theres an SOTW -sig of the week

maybe we could have an SKOTW - sketch of the week.

like the NF one, one main "theme" or w/e. but we should have a select roster of judges do the voting each time, but those judges that vote can't enter. so i think the roster of judges could be cyclical, which would allow each judge a chance to enter. well thats my two cents

Ooh, i like Ero's idea. That sounds awesome.

As for picking topics, i think that the way NF does it is cool. Winner chooses the topic. I like that alot.

But if you guys decide that the judges are gonna decide the topic, ya should keep a topic in mind so ya don't have to think of one on the spot, if none of you can think of anything on that week.
For instance, before SkOtw starts, you think of like 4 or 5 future topics that all the judges agree on. And everytime a new idea comes to mind, you can just add it to the list of future topics.

well firstly i was thinking that we should have a random pick at what people would want for the first SKOTW, then the winner will pick the next and so on..

oh and IMO it would be advisable to make some of the constraints and topics abstract in nature.. i.e. "hero, anger, love, Fight" instead of a strict thing like "MSG, naruto etc."

imo it gives the sketch artist/ artist more artistic license o'er the comp...

my two cents again....

I'd be happy to do it..seeing as im like glued to this forum 24/7 lol.

and we could add the element of anonymity to the comp by doing the same thing as the COTW's (keeping entrants anonymous until the verdicts been decided), i mean it would eliminate any form of biased opinions that might "tempt" the judges to make a particular verdict, buuuut it would be tedious :/
