Your favourite book and/or writer

Well, feel free to mention something about a favourite book, magazine, poem, genre or writer here..
I'd start off quick, cause I'm on my way to bed..

Favorite writer: Robin Hobb
. . . is the author of two well received(my favourite) fantasy trilogies.

The Farseer Trilogy
Assassin's Apprentice
Royal Assassin
Assassin's Quest

The Tawny Man Trilogy
Fool's Errand
Golden Fool
Fool's Fate

(The Tawny Man trilogy takes place in the same world, place and time as the Farseer trilogy, but a few years after "Assassin's quest")

Harry potter captures you, but it's really not that good.

I like terry prattchet, The "the Magus" by john fowles is awesome, Da vinci code's good too
