Posting this on my Wii!

Just set up my Wii online. Dl'ed the trial web browser and here I am.

You have to pay for a web browser? Now that is sad. Have you a keyboard perhaps.

No it is free. Cost me $40 for the WiFi adapter, but that isn't needed if you have a wireless router.

They will be coming out with a usb adapter (there are two usb's in the back of the wii) for wired connections sometime in early '07, but I didn't feel like waiting.

No keyboard, had to point and click on the letter I wanted. They have a little space above that tries to figure out what word you are typing though. It relieves some of the stress because once you see your word you click and it finishes it for you.

PS: sorry about the wrong section.

EDIT: as of now the web browser is the beta version. don't know if it will cost anything once they release the full version. I heard that the whole Wii Online will be free, but those could just be rumors.

THe wii has a beta trail for all Wii users to test if everything is working fine etc and just for the fun of having a internet =]

The net will be free til march, thats when the trail will end and you will have to pay 500 points if you want to continue with the browser on your wii. as far as i know its a one off payment but may change as the time comes.

Finally someone else here with a Wii. I view this forum from time to time on my Wii but Im still not used to typing on it well enough to want to make any posts. Also, Im lazy =p

thanks for the info goku. I knew it was the beta trial, but I didn't know it would cost points to get the final version (seeing as how the weather and news channels were free to download).

Good to here that, as of now anyway, it will be a one charge deal. That is the way it should be. Especially since I could just walk into the next room and use my computer if I don't want to pay the extra $$
