indeed! Japanese is cool, but it's not very easy to learn, my friend took a year of Japanese and has been listening to audio tapes for a few years now, and he can still only confidently spit out a few basic sentinces.

well pretty much regadless of how much you practice, Japanese is still one of the hardest Languages to learn, but indeed you are correct otherwise.

i can speak two laguages . my local language and english only so im hoping to learn japanese because some anime that i've seen have'nt got any english subtitles !

other tahan japenese what language are much easier to learn ?

Hey people, if anyone is interested, I think that we should form a like study group.
Like.. 5 people or something.
And if anyone's interested PM me whenever, when we get enough people, we can like go to this chatroom I have on this site(jus us, no-one else)
And like talk about what we know.
OR!
We can make a thread and just post our Japanese information that we learned in a certain amount of time.
Eg., a week.. Month,..,
Etc.

hmmm if there is a fast short-cut way to learning japanese, i dont think i would spend me money on lessons each year ~_~'' ....but www.thejapanesepage.com is quite a good site, especially with the grammar, as they explain it well in english.

I've said this once before, might as well say it again.

I you mean just talking in japanese phrases, then you can learn it quick

If you mean learning how to talk, particles, hiragana, kanji, katakana, basically knowing how to read, write and speak, then you're sadly mistaken.....it takes a while to learn it...cant really learn it quick.

I myself have learnt japanese till age of 6. Most of it ive forgotten and all I can remember in terms of writing the characters is 1st grade kanji...

Basically what Im trying to say is that to fully understand japanese, it'll take about a year or so.

as the old nihongo saying goes:

JAPANESE LANGUAGE SHOWS OUT THE DETERMINATION AND STRENGTH OF OUR COUNTRY

so....you have to be determined to learn it
