Er, they usually have courses for this in college, to teach some one it over the internet would be too troublesome to do for free,

Lmao, that's true.. So like even if I were to find tutorials and stuff, going to college would be better, I know.
But just to get to know the basics.
I'm not talking about like learning how to build network bridges

well there are some programming tutorials at pixel2life.com but there are many sites which offer programming tutorials just search google and you will find them. Also try buying books, like the "...For Dummies" series.

a good language to start at would be visual basic. But remember that it is good just for beginners, real programmers hate it (most of them at least)

If you want you can start of with Java, but it's a bit more harder, especially for someone who never programmed before

anywayz good luck and remember there are already too many programmers in the world

True..
but if I get a good certification or something I can get a pretty decent pay.
But yeah like I mean can you post the links to some places I can go to? Like not Java, Visual Basic, C++, or Python.
Since I've tried Python, and didn't like it much, and Vb and I didn't like it, c++ is simple with the basics but gets a whole lot harder, and yeah so help meh.
I want to do this and get a good pay..
Help.

Ok, but i will say it again that there are already many programmers out there and the pay is horrible for a simple programmer, trust me.

Well since u turned down VB and python, i'll suggest Java, which has similar syntax to C,C++ and it is platform independant and it is the most popular nowadays, i think.

This is a link to the official Sun Java tutorial. Who can teach u better than the creators??
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/

I wish i could send you the e-book i am currently using at the university (Manchester) but it is about to be published so i cannot give any links, sry.

I said i was a Computer Science student at the University of Manchester, right??

Anywayz, good luck

P.S:if you are wondering why i went into CS,when i'm telling you not to, first CS is not just programming, second i will be specializing in Networking and third i might do a phd and work in universities, not in companies.

Java, would do the trick probably. It's not that hard to learn, it's based on C and has similar structure and it's quite popular. And it's platform indepented so you can get rid of $micro$oft$.

What's not to like??

Oh and if are starting on java, try using the JCreator, a nice IDE for java, which is very useful. You can compile and run your code through there as well, and it has many cool features.

If you need any help, feel free to ask

Lmao, I would love to man but I'd need my own site, and people whom I could trust to have stuff like that work.
ANd if I did I would so do it, but I'd also need more knowledge on how to do all of that, but also don't you need a computer on all the time to maintain the server?

and a decent connection, atleast a 1mbit of upload. But creating a server is not that difficult. There are sites which offer everything you need and guides to help you do it. If you wanna do it, try www.ragezone.com

It's a MMORPG forum, which has a lot of information about private servers of many games, like WoW, RO, MU Online and more. I have already set up b4 a working WoW server, which is a much more complicated game than RO, so i dont think setting up a RO server will be that difficult

Oh just a tip. If you do check the site out, dont go asking noobish questions which can be probably answered by a simple search. They wont tolerate it and you might even get a warning from a moderator

Come on man, I've been around forums for quite some time now, and been super mods on some others, lol.
BUt also, like the thing is uh like yeah, so java it is then, and I really hope that I make some progress, the best thing is that it's near the weekend, and I can print out some documents, read those over and then begin lworking on it.
And Jcreator, I remember, uh is there somehwere I can download this for free from?
