Mr. Papaya

I decided to start working on a fanfiction that detailed the beginning of Akatsuki.
Not sure how much I'll write about it. I'll try to use Japanese attack names, but if I have to make attacks up, they'll be in English.

The Akatsuki leader was running quickly but silently through a forest. His organization was not known to the world yet, as they preferred to remain in the shadows. They were also fairly small, consisting only of the leader, two people he had worked with for a long time, and an odd humanoid from the country named Zetsu who had joined him. If things went well today, he'd be able to add another member to the group.

The Akatsuki leader came to a clearing. He saw Orochimaru standing there. "Zetsu's ability to track people is as good as he claimed" the leader thought.

Orochimaru interrupted him, asking "Who the hell are you?"

The leader ignored his question but replied, "I'm here to fight you."

Orochimaru answered, "I don't recognize you from the Leaf. Has my old, pathetic village stooped so far as to hire outsiders? But it doesn't really matter, since you'll die here. Katon-"

Before Orochimaru could finish calling out the name, the leader had used Shunshin no Jutsu to appear directly in front of him and attempt to strike him in the face. Orochimaru blocked the strike and responded with a roundhouse kick. The leader blocked as well and the two ninjas started a flurry of punches and kicks. The leader knew, however, that he was exerting himself less than Orochimaru.

Orochimaru suddenly surprised the leader by headbutting him. The leader wondered, "How did he hit me? His head was 2 feet away from me just before that." He didn't have much time to think, however. Orochimaru quickly followed up this strike with a Seneijashu (Hidden Shadow Snake Hand), making 4 snakes wrap around the leader's arms and legs.

Orochimaru then said, "Now die! Earth Spike Jutsu!" A large spike came out of a cliff behind the leader and rapidly accelerated toward him. The leader responded with Doton Doryuheki (Earth Release: Earth Release Wall). However, he only had enough time to make a wall about a foot thick.

The spike hit the wall and didn't even crack it. Orochimaru screamed, "HOW THE HELL DID YOU STOP THAT? DAMN YOU!" The leader used his surprise to escape from the hidden snake hands. Then he ran towards Orochimaru to strike at him again.

The leader struck at Orochimaru. Orochimaru blocked the punch but was knocked back a great distance anyway. The leader gathered up chakra and used Katon: Gokakyu no Jutsu (Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique). Orochimaru used Doton Doryuheki (Earth Release: Earth Release Wall) in an attempt to block it, but the fire quickly burned through and he was forced to jump into the air. However, the leader appeared behind him quickly and kicked him into the ground. Orochimaru stood up and said: "How the hell are you doing this?" The leader responded, "It's not always the technique that matters. The chakra you put into it matters too. And I have a lot more than you do."

Orochimaru said, "I'll show you what a lot of chakra is! Kuchiyose no Jutsu! Manda!" A giant snake suddenly appeared. The leader thought, "How will I stop this? I don't want to use my own summon.. That's for emergencies.." The leader decided on a plan. He used Shunshin no Jutsu to keep backing away from the snake.

Orochimaru laughed. "Is this powerful enough for you, asshole?" he asked.

The leader used Shunshin again and was now standing on top of a lake. He was pretty far away from Manda now. He started the preparations, as this jutsu took many hand signs, and used Suiton: Daibakufu no Jutsu (Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique). Water poured down onto the snake. Then, right after that, he used Hyoton: Haryu Moko (Ice Release: Piercing Dragon Fierce Tiger). The snake was frozen in place.

Orochimaru was shocked, but the leader quickly moved back towards where Orochimaru was. Orochimaru started using hand signs, but the leader quickly used Futon: Mugen Sajin Daitoppa (Wind Release: Infinite Sand Cloud Great Breakthrough). Orochimaru was hit hard by the sand and knocked back a good distance. He had barely stood up when he was hit with Hyoton: Roga Nadare no Jutsu (Ice Release: Wolf Fang Avalanche). A large group of snow wolves stampeded towards him and trampled him. Orochimaru stood up again, but was almost out of chakra. Suddenly he was grabbed from under ground. A seperate Kage Bunshin then came up out of the ground and grabbed his arms. Yet another clone was coming straight towards orochimaru to hit him. Orochimaru extended his neck and attempted to headbutt the clone, but the clone exploded, burning his face.

The other two let go of him. He collapsed to the ground. The leader that had been holding his feet appeared as the real one and said, "Now that I've shown my superiority in battle, I will tell you. I am not a hunter ninja or anything of the sort. I am the leader of Akatsuki. We're an organization seeking to harness the power of the nine demons. We need new members. Your interest in immortality reminds me of mine long ago. Of course, what I achieved can no longer be done by anyone else. But if you join, we have access to knowledge that can help you overcome sickness and old age, like you wish. Or you can die here."

The Akatsuki gained a new member that day. But the leader wondered, if Orochimaru got what he wanted and felt he had the power, would he still be loyal?

Egh...It seems to me by your attack usage, that you believe the leader is an Uchiha..

Really? I honestly wasn't thinking that. I was trying not to give details of anything that hasn't been shown in the manga yet other than the leader having been alive for a long time, and I had to use that to sort of explain the leader's strength and Orochimaru's reason for joining.

I like it but would orichimaru really be like when someone blocks his attacks?

it was ok, u made oro looked a lil weak there, in the anime he was smart enuff to always have one of those mud clones around, he also didnt even notice them until he got close, i liked to think the akatsuki except the leader was very close skills overall but not bad.
