The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is an upcoming video game in Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda series, for the Nintendo DS. It is the official sequel to Gamecube's The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and it will feature 3D cel-shaded graphics with an overhead camera perspective primarily, but incorporating different views based on context. The game was unveiled along with a trailer by Satoru Iwata during his keynote address at the 2006 Game Developers Conference in San Jose. Phantom Hourglass was formally announced to come out in 2006 but is not on Nintendo's 2006 release schedule.

if you're a zelda nut like myself then you should know just about every link is a lefty riiight?

wrong, didja know the TP Wii link is going to be a righty this time? XD

the reason is because the controller can be switched for both righties and lefties. Link has been made righty because most people will use the right controller to move.
This is also the reason why the games are mirrored. Everything in the gcn TP will be opposite from the wii version, like the settings.

New Info Update:
New weapons include:
-Two types of grappling hooks (one to reach up to higher places and a different one to jump over gaps
-Three types of bombs
-Ball and chain used to break open walls etc, but causes link to move slower
- an item called spinnec which makes link float on a rotating platform, he can use this to charge into enemies, it also has gears, to make it latch onto tracks, so link can reach, new areas, which he couldn't before.
- The Iron boots allow link to sink to the bottom of water, attatch himself to like a magnet on ceilings and various mangentic surfaces, walk through strong winds.
- you can use the lamp to light torches

- 9 dungeons
- Midna gives link the ability to teleport to different areas toward the middle of the game.
- five heart pieces equals one heart container
- Golden bugs and poes that can only be seen at night are included in side quests.
- You can hear midna's laugh through the wiimote (freaky)
- link has a slingshot at the beginning of the game
- The village is called Ordon
-wolf link is controlled by moving the wii-mote, by waving the wii-mote, wolf link will rip his enemies up with his claws and teeth.
- shaking the wiimote enables link to use a spin attack, or a thrashing attack in wolf form
- wolf link can dig holes into secret passages, by sniffing them out.
- later in the game link receives new armor that gives him new abilities.
