Gai was forced to use the gates because of his three students trap in the water prison. If they werent there, I bet Gai would use a lower level of jutso, a jutso that don't need to finish an enemy in one blow.

Without Neji, Tenten and Lee, Gai would jsut need to WIN. Since they were there helpless, Gai needs to WIN and SAVE them

I don't see your point whatsoever unnoted. He was about to DIE either stinking way, it didn't matter weather the students were there. Even if they weren't there he would have died were it not for the gates. The sharks were tearing him limb from limb and he couldn't get rid of them by hitting them which is pretty much all he could do.

My point is, if the three werent there, Gai don't need to rush and will have more optons than using gates. Gai knows the limit of his students, he knows that anytime one of them cant hang any longer and would die unless he kills the enemy. He used the gates then since he need to do it in one shot. At that situation he don't have time to think and figure out the enemy's weak part and take advanage of it.

What makes you think he'd be dumb enough to not use the gates if his students weren't there? Of course he needed to rush because the sharks were about to kill him and he could not destroy them by himself at all. Punches don't affect them at all and that's all he had a position to do before he opened the gates. There's no point at all in arguing that Gai had a choice in opening the gates, he didn't. His students were about to die? HE WAS ABOUT TO DIE.

Gai can hold that sharks off. He knows that he need to stop Kisame to stop the sharks, if the three werent there it will not be the peacock scenario.

He cannot hold the sharks off, they were killing him when he opened the gates, especially the fifth meal when they all charged him at once. He was getting hit and there was absolutely no way he was getting rid of all of those sharks by just punching them. Also, he knew that without the gates Kisame was definitely stronger and definitely just as fast as he was. Remember that he used one arm with his sword and Gai still wasn't able to push it back with his nunchaku, since he used the other arm to punch Gai and send him underwater.

Gaara with his beast, vs 50% Kisame...Gaara would win. I think Kisame would most likely have the advantage for most of the battle until he deals out some serious damage to Gaara. At some point, Gaara's beast will come out and squash Kisame to bits.

I doubt he would last that long, non to mention that Kisame could easily suck out his chakra before that happened. No chakra=no sand=no sand shield=no Shukaku.

I wonder if Kisame has time to suck all the chakra from gaara. Gaara's sand and Gaara himself is not sluggish as Naruto.

True. But you're assuming Gaara would be on the ground and very near Kisame for him to do that. What if Gaara is in the air? What is Kisame going to do? Create a puddle and float up to him?

More like create a massive wave and block Gaara from ever getting in the air in the first place. I still think that Kisame is better than Gaara, but only anywhere outside of the desert. Gaara can only win in the desert where he has Sabaku Rou on his side.

Its jsut so lame to say Gaara has no chance since the sword would suck the chakra anyways. OMG, Kisame is the strongest shinobi if thats the case in every battle.

If Gaara have to drag out all the sand miles away, he will do that to win. But the problem is, according to that lame BS filler episode, he can't use wet sand.

Q:Can Kisame make water out of nowhere liekthe 2nd Hokage? Or he needs a little source to start off.

Gaara > Kisame in the desert, and still has a high chance of killing him with his demon.

Kisame > Gaara outside of a desert, and well, I'd feel really bad for Gaara if they fought on a lake or something. Kisame can just drag Gaara down and rip him to shreds.

Edit: Unnoted, Kisame can make water out of no where.

Well it is the truth.

Kisame can make water out of nowhere, he created it in the desert, but there is water in the air so I suppose that's a source. Oh and the Hokage as well as Kisame both spit water from their mouths, so it's unkown if it's some kind of seal or if they use Ninjutsu skill to do it. Also there are some Suiton techniques that just don't need a water source.

That what i mean in out of nowhere. I cant remember Nidaime spitting water from his mouth,but i remember sarutobi spit something and made an earth wall.
