So, Naruto's not the least bit surprised that his dead father just happened to show up on the battle field?

I actually really liked the pacing on this chapter though. Kakashi and Obito's back and forth over the battle, which actually utilized strategy for once, was effective. Things should heat up next chapter though; A Naruto Sasuke reuinion/alliance and the kages vs Madara. Should be good.

this was a nice build up chapter for the next few to come your way already from we have the start Naruto and the forth interaction to start with. but was really good was display of Kakashi words being play out side by side as he talk with Obito goes on, and that for me is what really stand out in this chapter.

All I could think about was, "This isn't even the Juubi's final form!" Which completely overshadowed everything that happened this chapter. Why must these manga always fall into the same (sometimes hilarious) cliches?

Ok I must say not a bad chapter at all..Great pacing..and for once I actually did enjoy Minato's entrance...not that we saw Naruto use Sage mode but he did have his cloak form for a while. Maybe he picked up on Minato and the others getting close...In that form he is a sensor right? I actually enjoyed the exchange between Obito and Kakashi too. Still confused as to why the Juubi isn't attacking Madara. He lost his sync with it and his control. I also kinda had the feeling Minato would warp the bijuudama like he did Kurama's.

@ Kluang...that gif was exactly what i needed...ROTFL!

Considering Shikamaru had them learn the most basic Doton technique one can think of, not that surprising.

No not really...i would be surprised if they were an army of genin..but these are the last legs of an entire alliance...pretty much the worthy are the ones left standing...Shikumaru told him to teach them a basic ass doton jutsu...nothing fancy and it was reassured that they didn't need quality but quantity....Kakashi can use doton wall as well.. It is not uber feat.....All shinobi's at this point should excel at molding their chakras. Jounin and Special Jounin are able to use 2 or more affinities...I was not surprised or thought it was strange.....They all created small walls..now if they pulled off huge mountain long chain walls then I would call Bullshit....

Small note, for specificity. Jounin are able to use at least 2 elements. Elements that they can naturally use are their respective affinities, like Kakashi's affinity is to Lightning, and Naruto is to Wind, and Hashirama is to Earth and Water, since his bloodline has the Wood element combination of those elements. They can force their chakra to mold into other elements, but that takes training as it isn't the natural element path for their chakra.
