Uh... well maybe not. Because at the part when Zabuza is doing the hand signs and then Kakashi starts following them, it kind of confuses Zabuza and throws him off so that he's a little more vulnerable. Who knows? I could be wrong but it seems like his sharingan had a lot to do with his beating him.

Sort of but he is stronger then just the eye. He was a jounin befor he ever got the eye. so he has to be powerfull.

And in the end he did beat him with out the eye. He used his dogs to win so yes he can an did win with out his eye.

Yes that is true, I forgot all about him using the dogs... that was my favorite part too...

Yeah, but sharingan was a huge part of the fight. If it wasn't for it, Zabuza wouldn't have have lost concentration and made an opening for Kakashi to attack him and what if he didn't use sharingan at all?

No the whole fight was blocked by the mist and he never got to use the eye he beat him when it was in Zabuza's optimal conditions where he can fight and see but his opponate can not. it is hard to tell in the first fight because Naruto and Sasuke interfered.

Ahhhh an remeber the times when Sakura was completely useless.

The first fight wasnt in the mist though, the second fight was and that was when he used the dogs, the first fight was when he used the sharingan

Yeah but we wont know because he had the element of suprise and the fact that his pupals could get hert working ageinst him. That is how he got cought was because he was worried about his students. So it is hard to say. I think the secound fight does count because he did not use his eye even the move he was going to finnish him with was his own.
