...well maybe he was orderd by the hokage to join akatsuki to see what they're planing and Pain or whoever the leader is wanted to see if itachi really is one of them and told him to wipe out the uchiha clan so he had to do it... and dont forget that madara was also there so he wouldnt have been able to warn anyone that could also explain why he became a missing nin... but thats what i think idk if its true we will just have to wait n see
as for why he killed his best friend...well idk maybe it was so he could get stronger just in case something happened eg. if he was found out or something like that idk...

I thought I mentioned this.... I won't choose another co-owner, they really aren't that important since they cannot edit posts here... which kinda would help when I'm inactive for instance. It's not necessary to have new co-owners and those who help out by welcoming new members on a regular basis act as the co-owners anyway and I appreciate their help very much.
