Best Parenting

Who do you think has the best parenting?

I was listening to the radio about this and decided this should be a good topic.

I feel that it is best to grow up with a MOM and a DAD to both give you comfort.
Not just a dad. Not just a mom. Not 2 moms, or 2 dads.

On the radio they were talking about how moms are the one saying slow down but dad is telling you go go farther and go faster.

They were saying how it was important to have a little bit of both messages.

They also said it has been proven that kids with both a mom and a dad tend to do better in life than those with one mom, one dad or 2 moms or 2 dads.
What is your opinion on who does the best parenting?

Geez, that radio station must be living in the 50's. Hardly any parents conform to that stereotype thata I know.

I'd say a mom and a dad, although it's been proven that a single parent can raise a child well, and I have a respect for those people.

IMO

I say growing up with just a mom or with same sex parents is the best. Because you don't have to worry about your mom telling you that your dad is a bastard when they brake up. ^^

I think it's best to have both, easier to enforce things. A little fear and a whole lotta love, dudes.

I think its easier to have both. They serve as models of sex for the younger children. And it gives your libido an easier time when you know that you are still a man while you are not out rutting every hot chick you meet.

This is ridiculous. There is no "best" form of parenting. Having gay parents will not raise a kid to be any better or any worse than a kid being raised by straight parents. Take your homophobic bull elsewhere shiek. Don't make me whip out all of the links that prove me right. This thread isn't even worth the time to do that much.

Eh. IMO no such thing as "best" parenting.
I think having a mom AND a dad is cool, but having just a single parent is cool, too.
I live with only my mom, and was pretty much raised by her and my brother; and my dad was more like my buddy/dude to hang with when I was a kid. Kinda unusual. Don't really care much about it. *shrugs*

i think its not so much a question of WHO you're parented by but more one of HOW you're parented by the people responsible for you. i'd like to see any up to date proof they may have to support the claim about kids with a mom and dad (presumably both in the same house) doing the best in life

I meant nothing with that, though. I just meant it's less stressful (usually) for the parent if there's more that one.

there's no best parenting but with a mom and dad. mom will do all the house chores, teach the children good manners in and out of the house, and teach them how to be kind and religious. dad will do the job, feed the family, and secure that the family is safe and all. he will also help the mom on teaching their children good manners.
single parenthood depends on how the parent handles his/her child/ren.

Wow that's a very gender biased and sexist assumption. Why can't the roles be reveresed? Why can't they be changed around?

My father did most of the house hold chores. Both my parents taught me good manners and the like. Both my parents worked long hours as teachers and they BOTH paid the bills.

Waoh, isn't that what we women faught agiest in the 60's and 70's. God, you're sexist pig you need to go back to the 1500's where you belong, you cave man. You know my father was never there. He didn't care about me or my sister. My mom raised me since I was only four and she did a damn good job all by her self. She kept me feeling safe and she fed me. I can admit she did fucked up once but she got back on her feet and even though she meet a man later on I still saw her as my one and only parent.
