i am a gold member at naruto central so i have a list of anime that i can watch. i am currently in a situation that keeps me from using bittorrent so i was wondering if anyone could recommend some good anime for me to watch from this list. i like samurai, ninjas, and pretty much general fighting with swords (guns are ok as long as their are swords too ). here is the list

ignore the numbers they are simply the number of eps in each series that are available to watch. i am up to date on naruto, bleach, black cat, initial d and i am in the process of watching trinity blood. anyone got any other ideas based on this list?

Samurai Champloo, Tenjou Tenge, Grenadier, Trigun, and Gungrave......the first two are samurai animes, the last three are gun animes (Grenadier has some nudity, so if you dont like that thing dont watch it).

Other animes that are good, but dont have samurais in them are: FullMetal Alchemist, Tsubasa Chronicle, and Chrno Crusade.

If you like hardcore violence and dont mind nudity, watch elfen lied. If you like music, watch Beck. I also reccomend the Final Fantasy movie if you have played FFVII and like the FF game series.

All the animes that I listed are very good, but the first 5 are the only ones (that I know of) that have samurais and gun users.

Whichever anime series you pick, I hope get around to seeing all the ones I listed, you wont regret in doing so, and enjoy.

and yeah FMA is great too, i love it...
chrono crusade is cool,
bleach has alot of swords too...

the stand out anime on that list for me is samurai champloo...great production quality, great story, and some really cool sword fights

i didnt mean that they had to have both, i just meant that i like action animes that hav sword fights better than ones with gun fights. i dont mind guns, i just like the swords better =).

if you read my original post i said i am up to date on intial d =). coincidentally it is my favorite anime and was the show that got me hooked on anime as a whole.

thanks for all of the suggestions guys, i will definitely check out samurai champloon. i think i have seen most of gungrave on anime unleashed on techtv(g4 now, ). @MDF i really want to watch inuyasha, but i cannot find a direct download site that wont make me pay. i dont want to pay for two anime sites every month. Grenadier sounds intriguing, but i am not in a position that i can watch that kind of anime as i am currently using a shared computer and i dont really think that my parents would like it that much if they walked in during one of the more graphic scenes. once i get back to school i will probably watch it though, but for now ill stick to the more tame anime.

i also cant find this member area that you speak of nelsonkong. the only thing that i have on my screen is the gold downloads page which just gives a list of the anime. it doesnt give me any info about them. could you explain to me where this info is?

Yakitate Japan - It is a funny and comic relief type of anime, not so much in the action zone though it's worth watching

Tenjou Tenge - If you like action then this anime you should defiantly check out. Itis full of action and fighting..etc..

Ragnarok the Animation - Eh, well in my opinion this anime is pretty good, there is action, comedy, romance, based ont he game ragnarok

My Hime - Pretty much action and romance...a good anime to watch also..

heh, i like i said read my original post =). i am up to date on bleach and black cat.

i just started watching samurai champloo and i am addicted. the production quality is top notch. i really love how they mixed hip hop style beats with the samurai fighting. makes for one badass cartoon imo. i think tenjou tenge will be next after i finish samurai champloo and trinity blood. i really recommend trinity blood to anyone who hasnt seen it. its pretty cool.

inuyasha, dont bother EVER d/lin that anime series, it really isnt worth it. i would have to agree with everyone else on this list, samurai champloo and bleach for sword fights!! other than that, yeah cant think of nething else atm

everyone keeps recommending samurai champloo and bleach. as i have stated in my original post i have watched all of bleach. i said i couple of posts ago that i am in the process of watching samurai champloo also. thanks for the input though, it just goes to show that i made the right choice in picking SC to watch =).

Okay, out of the ones I have seen from that list................

Air ~ kinda strange, but it's cute. I like it, but if you don't get into it you'll be bored
DNAngel ~ Sweet story about two personalities revolving around unrequited love; a few mild fight scenes (only seen 10 eps)
Elfen Lied ~ Two personalities on one girl. One is sweet and naive, the other is a vicious killing machine. Very good, I love it ^^
Ikkitousen ~ I've seen the dub (Battle Vixens) and read the manga. This is a boys' anime, clearly, since the girls always seem to lose their clothes. Rather violent too.
Samurai Champloo ~ I've only seen two episodes, but it's about two samurai dudes and a girl (or so I've gathered) apparently very good
Tenjho Tenge ~ A school with fighting clubs, and big breasted girls (¬_¬) sword fights 'n' stuff; very good as well
