what happened to Rin?

but from what kakashi has said she is most likely dead

Yup, exactly what he said. Kakashi said that he doesn't have any precious people left, and Rin was definetly a special person to him. So I guess she is dead.

I agree with nma, kakashi did say all of his love ones are dead....so Rin probably died during the war,after Obito died.

well in the anime i think she joined anbu the episode when everyones at sandaime 3rd hokages funeral i think thats her

I don't think so, that girl had dark purple hair Rin has brown hair.

thanks but i do kinda think rin joined anbu and died there i mean i have seen some pics of kakashi with anbu stuff soo they must've joined but rin died there

Hmm.. I dunno about Rin being an ANBU.. I mean, she strikes me as the not-that-strong type. And I think that to be an ANBU, you have to be kinda exceptional. My bet is that she died in battle.

We don't know how strong Rin is we only saw her for like a couple of chapters. But I can't say shes dead because we didn't see the end of her, what if shes alive but.....nevermind im confusing myself.

uhh i kinda agree wit rin bein in anbu and died well in battle there.....she should be strong she was in kakashi's group and was trained by the 4th..!!

They showed a picture of her during the Third's flashbacks when he was fighting Orochimaru.
