Objectivism vs. Libertarianism (Why?)

Now I realize I probably shouldn't ask this on a Naruto forum because I may not even get an answer, but would someone explain to me why Objectivists reject libertarianism so much?

While this may not become a debate, I want to keep it in the area where intellectuals will actually look at it.

The reason I ask this question is because I am subscribed to a blog, which really is excellent, but it is run by an objectivist. So yesterday I was reading one of his entries on the 4th of July and I began thinking about how close these philosophies really are. Both call for (at least) a minimal government (while some libertarian sects call for abolishing the state,) and while libertarianism doesn't have all the philosophy to back it up, such as objectivism, it still has an individualist nature. I have no idea why Ayn Rand threw a fit over libertarians. So if someone could explain this to me, that would be nice.

That is odd, seeing as both Libertarians and Objectivists follow similar basic guidelines (mainly in individualism and capitalism). I can't really explain why Rand would have a fit over Libertarianism. The only reason I could see is that there are personal issues between him and this philosophy. Remember that even though people may believe in the same ideas, they may have different opinions on how to fulfill it.

Well, that could be true because Objectivism wants to change the minds of people and libertarianism is strictly a political philosophy. Ayn Rand even mentioned that is why she dislikes libertarianism because there is no philosophy to really back it up. What I don't understand is why that matters at all. Personally I think Rand was just trying to be a rebel. XD
