Maybe she's Tsunade o.O just kidding. But Kakashi once said, 'many of my comrades have died...' so wouldn't that also mean that Rin died as well, just not in the Obito arc?

mmmm...actually i dont think any more Uchiha's are alive.. i thought how kakashi got his Sharingan was cos b4 he died Obito and Rin transfer or transplant his Sharingan to Kakashi? i dont read the Manga so if something new happened to create a suspision that Obito is alive i'm not aware of it..

even tho itachi is one of my favorite characters i think he is a bit physco but maybe i bet he didn't feel like the clan was helping him that much more like holding him down. cuz he is order by his dad and saying that u have to do this and that and that u have an anbu meeting and etc.

im sorry i didn't remembers the girl's name. and i knew it had something to do with rocks cuz there techquies were rock based. at that time i was writing i didn't really look back on the anime i was eating and tired. and i thought it was a cave. so yea.
Rin could be alive u may never know. maybe like over the years kakashi went and made some new comrades and they died and put on the stone. its a possibility that Rin could still be alive

ohohohoh! fangirl here >.> I will answer this to the best of my ability. (and wow, so many apologizing ppl...izzo'k!)
1. Orochimaru stated that he 'fears' Itachi because of his skill and knows that he cannot get a Sharingan from Itachi. So Itachi killed his family because he didn't want Oro to get at them. He kept Sasuke because either he wanted Sasuke to grow up and become uber sexy and screw him later, or Itachi wanted a reason for living (which is so that his little brother could kill him) or maybe to create a different kind of Sharingan.
2. He's screwed up.

3. Remember Sai and how he said that in order to become a root division ANBU, he had to kill his brother? Maybe Itachi was going to do that but realized he couldn't, so he killed some other person first, but got a little sword-happy and killed everyone else. [/SPOILER]
4. He really did want to test out his power.

ok well i don't think that itachi will do something like that cuz i don't think that itachi didn't know oro at the time. i think that itachi killed the clan cuz he wanted power and that he wanted to kill everyone cuz i bet he thinks that the clan is holding him back in what he can really do since his dad has head of a police station of somekind and that itachi was an anbu. he might want it to get the mankeyou sharigan but he had to kill some very close friend so he killed his friend thats in the same anbu squad as he is and killed the night of the meeting. i guess he just killed th clan so that there will be one uchiha that is capable to kill him and that person is sasuke cuz he is his younger brother and he knows his potential as well.

but so upsetting to kill your own family just to gain power.. i think it was out of hate also for tying Itachi down and all the rules to follow... can do this and cant do that etc...Or mayb he didnt want pple in his own clan hunting him down when he left and turned evil..so he killed them off first...
