Kakashi seemed to have more wits about him, don't think Iruka could have topped Kakashi on that standard, but for teacher/student relationship Iruka takes the cake.

i would say that Iruka was the best teacher but having like Jiraiya also taught him stuff yet i say a tie between iruka and kakashi

i think iruka helped him alot in making him feel loved i guess, but i think kakashi taught him more about ninja skills than iruka... but then jiraiya also taught him alot. but i think kakashi was the best teacher

Honestly, I think it was Iruka. Sure he didn't help much in the area of shinobi arts and such, but he grew such an emotional bond with Naruto and I honestly think that was one of the main factors that kept Naruto wanting to become Hokage after failing in the Academy again and again. And remember, Naruto IS wearing Iruka's own headband~

Well, besides when Iruka replaces his after giving his first to Naruto, I've never seen anybody in the series get a new headband. Though the fact it is Iruka's headband he's wearing tends to get lost.

i say iruka becuse think bout it when that one guy (cant remember his name) wanted the scroll and was going to kill naruto iruka jumped infront of him explaining why he cared so much
