you know what, i just thought of something....everyone in konoha said that yondaime died fighting the kyuubi, did they ever find a body? or was that an assumption?
Although I don't believe that yondaime is still alive, don't you think it's slightly posssible that kishi might do a major plot twist and reveal he is still alive?

It's definently not a 'Naruto is the 4th' situation. I proved it wrong when I thought of it myself in another thread. Naruto wouldn't have had to resign the summoning scroll if that were so.

Orochimaru attempted to summon the 4th. As for him being dead, err, the summoning could've possibly failed anyways. Like, it comes up, and nothing's there, sort of thing.

I can only imagine that Jiraiya would be the only one who'd know for sure if Yondaime was dead or alive. I think he's dead, and was Naruto's father. I prefer to let the man rest in peace.

The whole Naruto growing up story has soo many questions. First of all,why Naruto? How come they didn't choose another baby? That must mean that his parents signed off on it. Which leads me to believe that Naruto is the 4th's son.
I believe that the 4th is still alive. There are too many questions and no real proof of anything. There was a theory thread that said the 4th is the leader of Atatsuki and his wife is his 2nd. I believe it. Never saw the theory? here it is

another possiblty when oro summend the coffin, in there was NARUTO. the death god was the 4ths move soi would imagin that he could use the move without have to scarfice his life. becaseu he would have to have perfusloy done the tech without dieing to to teach it to the third.

Uhm guys, you can witness a jutsu without using it, copy it with a sharingan,
learn it from a scroll but not actually mold chakara and use it, etc. etc.
You don't actually have to USE a jutsu to practice/teach it.
