Garra...element or not?

Dunno if this has been posted before or not, nor do I really care...

I was wondering whether Garra had an element or not. We all learned the basic elements in the previous two chapters. I mean, sure he has his sand, but when you think about it, Garra can only control sand, not earth as a whole. So if he can't control earth, that being rocks, rubble, etc., then he doesn't truly have an earth element. Or maybe sand is just the combination of two elements, like Yamato's wood abilites. But if so, what elements could Garra possibly have other than earth? Maybe wind?

I would say that sand is an earth type, hes come from a place with all sand. Maybe he has never trained with ground and only sand. i like the idea of earth and sand though, i could see that

Well earth is the closest thing to sand

Earth and fire shouldn't make sand....it would make molten lava
Earth and wind on the other hand...makes sand, and if you consider Gaara is the Kazekage (Kaze = wind). Also they live in the WIND country, now sand is pretty much earth broken up into tiny particles...
Then it is common sense to say earth+wind elements = Sand

gara is from the wind country so gara would have wind and earth that's why he can control the sand
but then again he doesn't create sand he just uses the sand he finds only using his chakra.

Hasn't it been stated that they use wind in that village, I think his second element would be earth.

naw i think its wind and earth too. ice is wind and water, and does that make sense? nope...but thats how it is. earth itself is not created by the jutsu user so Gaara getting sand and putting it in a gourd is a smart thing to do.

i have seen Gaara use Lightning. soo i believe he is earth and lightning.

he used lightning in the 2nd movie

earth is his elemnt. its not elemnts plus elemnts equauls sand. gaara find the hardest metrails in the earth and breaks them up with his chakra than he uses it for attacks
