Nay, he is dead, and most people will say he's dead...
Although one thing has been bugging me about his death...the death god sealing technique is supposed to seal it's target within the user of the jutsu...but the kyuubi was strangely sealed within naruto....I'm almost definately sure something fishy is going on here...and Kishi has some secrets he's not sharing with us at the moment....

But as far as we know, and until anything solid comes up to state otherwise, Yondaime is dead...
