A Kage’s Will

Madara: Ah yes, the will of fire…. I remember that garbage from him. He never knew the fire of my hatred.

Within an instant madara is standing next to Tsunade, delivering a roundhouse kick.

Madara: To think that this is what is left of a once proud, ugly clan.

The rest of the kages regroup around Tsunade. Ei helps Tsunade up.
Tsunade: My clan may be gone, but their spirit lives on in Konaha, this alliance, and in….
Naruto Uzamaki!

Madara smirks, then summons the Tree world, leaping into the air, using a katon dragon fire jutsu to burn the wood. As the Kages leap to avoid the devastion, Madara uses Banshou Tenin to push Gaara away from the other Kages.

Madara: Now that bug is out of the way. Shinra Tensai.

Huge clouds of smoke cover the landscape as Madara comes down to the ground. After the smoke and dust dissipate, you see a small ball of sand and gold dust.
[seen several kilometers away]

Gaara: Do not underestimate my will of wind, Madara Uchiha.

Ei breaks through the sand and gold dust, body flickers over to Gaara and catches him as he feints.

Ei: You’ve done well Kazekage. Madara, we each have a will…. a will that will not be broken by you or your hatred. (flashback to when Ei and Tsunade let Naruto and Bee leave the turtle island) We make our stand today against you and your masked comrade.

Ei body flickers back to the Kages with Gaara.

Ei: For if we fall, a force awaits you that is greater than us. (thinks of Naruto, Killer Bee, and Darui). For everything I am, there is someone who has already surpassed me.

Madara: Then they will die after yo…

Ei body flickers infront of Madara to deliver an elbow in ration armor, sending Madara backwards and to his knees. Tsunade crashes down onto Madara with a downward heel kick, sending Madara face first into the ground. Mei spews her acid mist in the area.

Gaara: Sand coffin.

Oonoki: Jinton Genkai Hakuri no jutsu.

As Madara is hit, we see the Tsuchikage’s jutsu disappear. Left floating is Madara’s head.

Madara: Ha, Hahah, hahahahahah! Fools, did you think it would be that easy?

Madara’s body regenerates.

Madara: I must thank you Oonoki, without your jutsu, I was in quite the pinch. But you aided me.

Madara looks at Tsunade, summons a mokuton jutsu binding all the Kages to branches resembling crosses.

Madara: Now it’s time to break your will.

Madara’s rinnegan changes to his ems.

Madara: Tsukuyomi!!

Scene switches to Naruto, Killer Bee, Kakashi, Guy, and Tobi. Naruto glares at Tobi with sage eyes.

Naruto: You took my mother, my father from me. You tried to take my friends from me (flashback to Gaara and KillerBee). But you also allowed me to make some new friends.

Naruto is now in a orange aura.

Naruto: I promised my master, my fellow disciple, and my parents that I would bring peace. And if that means going through you, then so be it.

As reinforcements arrive and hear Naruto’s speech, Tobi phases out.

Tobi: Even if it means killing Sasuke?

Kabuto is seen in a forest area with Anko’s body, smirking.
Kabuto: On your way to me, huh….. hehehehe, oh what a surprise I will have waiting for you then.
Scene switches to Sasuke following Itachi.
Itachi in thought: I failed you Sasuke. Everything was for naught.
Itachi lands on a branch and stops. Sasuke lands next to him.
Sasuke: You will answer me nii-san. Why did…
Kabuto: Isn’t it obvious Sasuke-kun? He did it for the sake of Konoha. That night, on the night when you brother in the spirit of war was born, none of you Uchiha were there to protect him. Tobi summoned the kyuubi and not a single Uchiha was in sight. But the Yondaime Hokage saved the village and his son.
Sasuke has a questioning look that is turning into a dumbfounded look.
Sasuke: You mean…. his dad…
Sasuke in thought: I guess we were more alike than I had thought Naruto.
Itachi: This ends now, Kabu….
Tobi: No it does not
Tobi phases in.
Tobi: Change of plans you asshole. Come with me.
Tobi and Kabuto phase out as Sasuke tries kill Kabuto with Chidori.
Sasuke: What was he talking about nii…
Itachi glares at Sasuke and activates Tsukuyomi.
Itachi: Sasuke, you were a kindred spirit with Naruto before he was born. Our mothers knew each other well. The night Naruto was born, Tobi was successful in obtaining the kyuubi from Kushina Uzamaki, Naruto’s mother. Our clan had a mission that night, from our clan’s elder, our father. That mission was to not aide Yondaime nor Sandaime that night. Sasuke…. you were named after Sandaime’s father.
Sasuke screams breaking Tsukuyomi: Lies, all lies. I see through your genjutsu. You are not my brother, just a mere shadow.
Itachi: You will see the truth, with my eyes brother.
Itachi turns to a murder of crows that fly away. Sasuke falls to his knees panting with his eyes tearing.
Sasuke in thought: Why father, mother, nii-san. Why did you all forsake me.
Sasuke rises to his feet. Immediately he shoots out a Chidori Nagashi to his right. Juugo and the bottom half of Suigetsu walk out from behind a bush.
Suigetsu as he is reforming, once Sasuke releases the Chidori Nagashi: Chill out Sasuke. I have something for you.
Suigetsu tosses Sasuke the scroll from Orochimaru. Sasuke looks and reads the scroll.
Sasuke in thought: So this is why you were after me.
Scene switches to Naruto and the Alliance army.
Shikamaru: I know it’s none of my business, but who were those people you were just talking about Naruto? Your mother and father?
Kakashi: Shikamaru, you’re looking at the product of two of Konoha’s most skilled shinobi: the Bloody Jabanero, Kushina Uzamaki (flashback to Kushina in battle gear), and Yondaime Hokage, Minato Namikaze (flashback to Minato in his Hokage cloak).
A shocked expression is on everyone’s face who was ignorant to this information.
Darui: He’s the son of Konoha’s Yellow Flash? Hey Naruto, once we whoop some Madara ass, I want to spar with ya’, man.
Naruto looks at Darui: You got it.
Shikamaru looks on smiling.
Shikamaru: You never run out of surprises do you, Naruto?!
Sai looks at Sakura and whispers: Sorry for not telling you about that earlier. Strict orders from Kakashi-sensei.
Sakura looks at Naruto responding to Sai: Don’t worry, I won’t kill you…. this time. But next time don’t hide something like that from me again.
Sakura puts her hand on Sai’s shoulder. Hinata walks slowly up to Naruto.
Hinata: Naruto-kun. I….
Naruto: I know, Hinata. I know. You won’t have to wait long. I still have a promise to keep to Sakura first though.
Hinata: Ok.
Naruto takes Hinata’s hand and holds it: You have no idea how much you mean to me.
KillerBee walks up to Naruto.
KillerBee: Yo, it’s time to go fool. You lead, I follow.
Naruto: I have an idea where we need to go then.
KillerBee gives a puzzled look then smiles.
KillerBee: Then it’s time, for me and Eight-o, to go to the battlefield, and whoop some bitch’s ass.
Naruto and KillerBee flash out of the scene.
Kakashi: You heard them.
Kakashi and Guy begin to feint. Lee catches Guy, while Sai catches Kakashi.
Lee: General Kakashi, you’ve led us well. It is our turn to support our comrade.
The army heads to direction of the battle between Madara and the Kages. Meanwhile, back in the cave with the Zetsu tree and Yamato.
Tobi: It is time Kabuto. You know what to do.
Tobi walks to center before Gedo Mazo, while Kabuto summons 3 bodies via edo tensai. Everybody jumps on a finger as Tobi releases the hachibi’s tentacle, Ginkaku, and Kinkaku.
Tobi: Commence.

Naruto 577: Changing the future.


The scene shows Sasuke dashing after Itachi.

Sasuke: Talk to me brother!
Itachi: No. I have my own job to do. I will not waste precious time.
Sasuke shouts: So you consider me a waste of time?
Suddenly Itachi stops, turns around and hits Sasuke so hard in the jaw, that it throws him away several meters.
Itachi shouting: Of course! You took the path of a criminal Sasuke! You know why i didn't kill you that night? Because i loved you Sasuke! I loved my little brother! That's the power that kept me alive all these years! Not the hatred! Not the shame! But my love for my little brother! And now, my brother is a criminal, that vowed to kill everyone in the village that i also loved! You are beyond my powers of salvation Sasuke! You truly are! And...Yes, Sasuke...to me...right now...you're not the brother i wanted. So i'm truly sorry..but there won't be a next time! If you ever decide to do the right thing...you can start two kilometers from here. Farewell, brother...maybe it will be different im the afterlife...and remember...you still have friends despite everything you have done.
Itachi dashes away leaving Sasuke alone.
Sasuke looks after him and stops following him.
Sasuke thinking: What have i turned myself into? Why is revenge so important?*

The panel shows Naruto facing Tobi.

Naruto: You will not win, Tobi!
Nauto launches himself towards Tobi, wielding a Rasenshuriken. He throws it at Tobi, but he evades it. Naruto appears just above him, and when he is about to strike the masked man down, Tobi grabs Naruto's neck, and throws him in the ground! Tobi lands several meters away, facing Naruto.
Tobi: It's not about winning boy. It's about the power! You never understood that!
Naruto: The power...it was never about the power. For me, at least.
Suddenly Shikamaru lands near him.
Shikamaru: It was about friendship.
Sakura lands too.
Sakura: And teamwork.
Lee lands near them.
Lee: And bonding with other.
Neji lands also near them.
Neji: And acknowledge someone!
All of Konoha's former rookies land in front of Naruto.
Kiba: Finally...some quality action!
Neji: Naruto...you don't have to do this alone.
Choji: You must not forget, that you will always have friends.
Shino: That will put everything on the line.
Hinata: For..for your sake..
Shikamaru smiles: That's why...we will fight alsomgaide you Naruto. You don't have to carry any burden alone, anymore. We are your comrades and friends. That's why today...
All of them at once with determined looks in their eyes: We are puting our lives on the line!

Scene shows Kabuto standing in a cave .

Suddenly a shadow appears behind him giving him a kick. Kabuto is thrown a few meters away but he quickly regains his posture and makes a handsign.
Kabuto: Snake gun!
*A snake emerges from the tip of Kabuto's finger towards the shadow.
Shadowed figure: Fire style! Fireball jutsu!
The fireball hits the snake killing it.
Kabuto makes a few steps back.
Kabuto: Uchiha Itachi...so you've made it here...
Itachi: Yakushi Kabuto, no other mortal have dared to summon the deads as you did. You will pay for this.
Kabuto: Maybe, maybe not...
Itachi as he activates MS: Susano'o!!
Kabuto: You really think that you can stop me from sealing you away, Itachi? The Edo Tensei it's perfect!
Itachi smiles and has a menacing look: Every jutsu, has a weakness Kabuto Yakushi. And once i find it...you will lose everything.

The panel shows Madara facing Tsunade.

Madara laughs: The will of fire?*
Tsunade: Exactly! I will put an end to you here Madara!
Madara with a menacing glare: Get real.
Suddenly he vanishes from Tsunade's sight and appears in front of her, swinging his sword towards her neck. In the last second a wave of sand stops the attack. The panel shows Gaara pointing his hand at Madara.
Gaara: Sand pillars!
Multiple giant sand pillars emerge from the ground, pushing Madara back. As he jumps back, Madara makes a couple of handsigns.
Madara: Wood release secret technique! Nativity of a world of trees!
A small plant emerges from the ground, then it transforms into dozens of trees, stoping Gaara's attack.*
Madara lands on the ground as he waits for the next attack.
Onooki appears in front of him.
Onooki: Uchiha Madara...you humiliated me in the past. You thought about yourself that you were the supreme being. Yet, you're now dead, and I am alive. You lost.
Madara smiling: I may be dead, Tsuchikage...but i'm still more powerful than you are.
Tsuchikage: It's not about power, Madara. It's about teamwork. And you always lacked that power.
Madara: Clever...but it's not like i haven't seen right through it!
At the same moment Madara turns around and stabs Tsunade in the chest with his sword. She was behind him, ready to strike him.
Madara whispers at her ear: You're dead, Senju!
Tsunade smiles: Not so fast, Uchiha!
Tsunade vanishes revealing herself as a Shadow clone.
Madara: A clone...
He turns around and he spots the Raikage in front of him, being moments away from delivering a Lariat!
Madara: Shinra...
But he cannot move himself.
Madara thinking: Why i cannot move?!?
The Raikage delivers the Lariat throwing Madara several meters back. Just before he crashes on the ground, he gets caught *by Gaara's sand, that wraps around him.
Gaara looking at Madara: Sand coffin!
Madara thinking: I see...when she sent that clone against me...she used it to place a seal on me. That's how she did it.
Mei dashes towards the Uchiha, making handsigns.
Mei: Boil release! Skilled mist technique!
A wave of mist surrounds Madara, melting his corpse.
Madara looks at the steam, and at the sand coffin.
Madara: Impressive. But it's still not enough.
He activates his Susano'o that destroyes the sand and protects him from the mist.
Madara as he looks at the Kages: Impressive array of jutsu. But i'm afraid that i'm bored by playing with kids. So...this is the end for you.
Onooki as he flies towards Madara: This isn't over!*
Onooki: Dust relea...
The panel shows Onooki shocked face. He stoped from using the jutsu. The next panel shows Onooki entirely. He is missing his right arm, and he has a deep cut on his chest. He falls down on the ground.
Madara: You lose...
The Raikage shouts: Old man!!!
Madara turns around and looks at the remaining Kages.
Madara: One is down.
Raikage shouts: You will pay Madara!
He dashes towards Madara at a fully charged Raiton armor level.
The panel shows the Raikage that is about to hit Madara, and Madara who is also dashing towards the Raikage and he is taking his sword out.
Madara: It seems that you're the next one!
The last scene shows Madara with a shocked face as he stares into another Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. The panel shows a man that blocked Madara's sword, with his bare hand.*
Sasuke: So, you're Uchiha Madara, huh?*

The end.

Itachi's main concern is stopping edo tensi which leads to stopping the body of madara. That's why he was thinking of that madara in that body.

He wants to stop the edo tensei, Kishi used that moment to TRANSITION to the Kage fight. Itachi is not all knowing and who said he had great sensor capabilities? He has about as much as any ninja on his level. He can see chakra but I wouldn't say he KNOWS who is on the battle field.
If he did then he would have known that he and Nagato were headed towards Naruto and Bee.

He's not thinking about him though.. Imagine if this was the anime okay? You see him running through the words and he says "I have to stop the.." Then at that moment it switches scenes because that's the end of that scene, but Itachi's voice carried over.

I tried really hard to make that as simple as possible.

It's pretty obvious why Madara was shown when Itachi spoke of stopping the Edo- Tensei. He is the biggest, if not the only threat posed by the Edo-Tensei right now, so obviously, stopping it would make the biggest difference in that scenario. That is why Madara was shown in the panel in stead of other characters.

Wait... are there any other Edos left who are either running around freely or wreaking havoc on the battlefield? I can't seem to remember.
