^I wanted some laughs from the switched group as well, but likely (or not, its oda, not kishi) , even though I was disappointed on that front, the chapter didn't disappoint.

Yeah, but Martin is better then Jordan. Martin may bore me with a couple of chapters, but as I mentioned, most of the book 3 in WoT was really boring. In fact, the most interesting thing that happened is Perrin going back to the village where he fought that shadow or whatever they were I forgot, read it too long ago. I think that was book 3. Rand became epic level already by the end of the book, I dunno what the hell was happening for another 9 or 10 books. Jesus.

Jordan was easily losing himself in some details. That's why Martin's last two books are of lower quality then the first three, for example. I don't give a fuck how is Tyrion traveling and I am sure that no one in the whole multiverse of fuck would want to read through those Quenthin chapters, especially considering the end of the book.

It's only at the tip, he is fine as long as he doesn't touch it. As for Law's DF, he can do w/e he wants inside the area his room covers. Tact can lift things, rip material out of the ground providing him with instant shields and projectiles. Scan allows him to take the enemy's weapons or w/e other objects they have, shambles switches things around ( it seems things need to be similar in size for them to be switched, and it works on souls lol ) and mes takes your heart, probably does more too.

Bottom line is, Law is right up there with Kuma in the broken motherfucker department.

I wonder if the reason Law takes the hearts is to force people to obey him? It looks like he preserves them by freezing them right? We've also seen that people can still feel the rest of their body even if it's separated since that samurai could sense the other half of his body fighting brook. This brings me to my point. If normal damage still applies to separated body parts, then wouldn't simply crushing a persons heart kill them instantly.

I can't think of a better way of forcing someone into obedience then by literally holding their heart in the palm of your hand. So perhaps when Law sent 100 hearts to the Marines, it wasn't to show that he had killed them, but rather to show that he had gained 100 note-worthy pirates under his control, which if given a shichibukai status would mean them being under the Marines control as well. No wonder the marines accepted him. They really couldn't risk leaving him unchecked. If he ever got hold of one of the Yonko's hearts, he'd instantly become a major power overnight, and the marines couldn't risk having that.

Well was quite a very interesting chapter indeed.

First off the part I want to look at, "What are you marines up to" When Law said this it opened many different possibilites, I mean Vegapunk the leading scientist of the Marines made a dragon on this island, so what the hell is it that Law found out about to make him want to side up with M ? But I do like the fact there is something more sinster around I mean this gives the chance that Law might be double crossed somehow and might even team up with Luffy to fight M or whatever.

The fight between Law and Smoker was pretty sweet, although I was a little upset at how quick it was (( I know Law could probably have ended it even faster due to his powers)), I really dont know what to imagine now I can see Luffy getting pissed off at seeing Law with Smokers heart and trying to get it back for him. But I definately wouldnt count Smoker out just yet, helll be back and we still have seen the extent of his strength since the time skip, he wouldnt be a vice admiral for nothing.

One thing that crossed my mind a long time ago when Law saved Luffy, do you think there is a chance he might have like done something to Luffy during the operation ? I dont know what to think with Oda if it is true, but I mean Law knew one day he was going to have to fight Luffy someday and I mean he had a perfect oppurtinutiy to do something while operating on him. Im talking like placed a bomb or something, I know the bomb is so unlikely but something along thoses lines, like the thing would only activate once inside Law's room ability or something. But what do you guys think ?

They got Usopp's face now, no longer Sogeking, and Sanji.....oh poor Sanji. They have a picture of him this time, but only the back of his head lol. He never catches a break. Soul king brook, Zoro, Nami and Luffy have new pics too.

@ Shrike - no worries buddy, don't think I'm trying to convince you, just trying to explain my thoughts behind it. I agree that Martin has written an easier, appealing read with no reduction in utter quality of writing - it is a very good series (I also thought 4 was pretty well written, it just annoyed me that he split the story and then I had to wait for so long for 5 which didn't really live up to expectations). I greatly enjoyed all of Jordan's work, despite his meandering ways, and feel WoT is a great fantasy series closer to the roots resurrected by Tolkien than Martin's work. If only he had boiled together books 6 through 10 into perhaps 2 novels, it probably would have aged better... and maybe be done before his death.

Just tell me if I'm getting too long winded in PoF. I'm in chapters which need a lot of explanation and setting building which can be a difficult thing. I'm hoping to rely on "be patient and all will be revealed through plot" introductions rather than "here's EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW" boredoms.

What about Dragon being below Luffy's pic? I don't recognize the other two.

Don't misunderstand, both Feast and Dance were very well written. The North chapters in the Dance were among the best he ever produced, and maybe it's just me but Theon is the best written POV to date. It's just that the core of the book held too many boring and uneventful content. And that is only because his own plot progressed faster before. Maybe I expected too much of the book, dunno.

I didn't read Jordan for a very long time so I cannot judge his work easily. But I judge it like this : when I was a kid I could watch Bleach and read all kids of crap and find it pretty cool. If Jordan had me bored back then, then I am thinking I wouldn't like him now either. But that's just tastes.

And lastly, PoF. I don't have a problem with it's pace at all. For example, this new thing that I am writing is a lot more detailed and much less in epic scale of the events then DoBaW. You may be surprised, but it has none of DoBaW's charging plot and development even where it made not much sense to do so. I guess it's still an epic fantasy, but only to a point. That being said, it's not like I like fast paced plot always. But when you build your plot and world like Martin did, then keep doing what you did before, not introduce 50 new character, new continent and 500 unnecessary pages. That is why I find the last two book having a lot of unnecessary things. Now, Jordan always had his own pace which was okay (kinda like yours). But he started lacking plot, if I remember correctly. I just know that you didn't need 13 or whatever books to tell that kind of tale. You take the style after Jordan, I guess, but your story never had problems with finding the driving force and its barely even started. So, no, there is absolutely nothing wrong with PoF. It takes its time on things to drive character development, and the plot is proceeding nicely. I am sure though that we barely scratched the surface, since we are about to be introduced to the big city and all the characters that come with it.

I think the pic on the right is either Ace, or a woman we don't know yet. The lips are really pronounced, like the person is using lip stick. No idea about the old guy, it's definitely not Garp.

On that matter when do you think we will find out about her like many arcs away ? Possible the first major arc with Dragon ?
