That top panel looks like he got it. Everyone else shown had their DNA added to the mix. Combined with Karin, Kabuto would have blood descended from both of the Sage's brothers.

You clearly missed the chapters where Naruto holds him back, declares "I gots this!", and Kakashi agrees to leave it to him.

Just how many chapters have you missed?

Hiruzen was all about the Will of Fire, but punching bag? Nobody wanted it with him directly other than Oro, who was also crazy. Tobi (Danzo? Bitch please) prevailed in his destruction of the clan because Itachi revealed they were planning a motherfucking coup! There's only so much peace and love you can throw at that. Danzo never had disdain for him either. They disagreed philosophically, but there was always a mutual respect for one another. Even in his dying thoughts, he wanted Hiruzen's approval.

You don't like Hiruzen fine, but quit playing yourself.

But wait, your viewpoint is skewed and confusing. First Hiruzen is the end all be all of the shinobi, but at no point could he capture, kill, or stop Orochimaru. To the point where he invaded the great Leaf, with his big assed snakes, and in short wound up dying to Master of Snakes.

In your example Naruto states 'I got this' as if he would subdue him, or kill him, he's a part of the TEAM, if Kakashi agrees to let a teammate on the mission get first crack at the opponent, SO WHAT?!! That has nothing to do with Kakashi. He has zero plans for Sasuke to leave from that place at that point....Tobidara warped them out, that was unstoppable. Now explain on one side of the fence about Hiruzens greatness, then jump on the other side to explain why such a Dude could never capture Orochimaru.

Next step re-read what I stated originally, and I said 'like Tsunade he was weak in the area of controlling his shinobi, or situations, they controlled him... Too many times he allowed the inmates to run the asylum'. Then when you get ready to disagree once more, and you will, notice that large scale devastating acts against the leaf in past history....

Kyuubi stolen from Kushina... Hokage: Minato, (destruction most of it was aborted by Minato's jutsu's and he perished.)

Orochimaru and Sound Nin invade Konoha w/ Sand... Hokage Hiruzen, lots of damage, and he perished without taking out Orochimaru.

Pein & Paths decimate Konoha... Hokage: Tsunade, the sitauation could've been much worse. Talk no jutsu brought a large majority of Leaf nin/citizens back to life.

So my points this, I don't notice that anybody invaded Konoha during the 1st or 2nds reign, and from the end of Minato, the destruction level has increased within Konoha, thats fakt. So compared to the Senju Bros. and personally Minato, Hiruzen was a punching bag. Thats my freaking opinion and I'm sticking with it, and it has nothing to do with re-reading crap, I'm just not 'enamored by the greatness of words somebody say about a character that was okay', but kinda fail in my opinon.

Has anyone considered whether Kabuto's regenerative abilities ( the ones he showed with his fight with naruto in the first arc) were his own or whether he had already begun to experiment on himself by then?

It was regenerative abilities? I thought Kabuto was just very adept at healing and he would heal the area as it was being damaged. I guess I would have to read it again.

We could assume that those abilities were his own. Remember the panel showing Karin during the Chuunin Exams, when she first met Sasuke? I don't think that she was already working for Orochimaru. And Naruto hit him with the Rasengan a short while after the Chuunin Exams. So i'm pretty sure that the regenerative abilities were his own.

Hurizen couldn't bring himself to take his student down until he got old. By that time Orochimaru had planned everything out to attack Konoha. If the 3rd hadn't defeated him he would have taken Konoha OR J-man would have ended up fighting him. (he was there remember)

If this was directed at me, please understand I wasn't saying it was just the Hokage that made the war. The war happened during Hiruzen's time, and Konoha was on the losing side until the mission in the Kakashi Gaiden. Neo was listing great calamities that hit Konoha during the various Kage reigns, Tmoore claimed that nothing happened during Hiruzen's first reign, which was false.
