It doesn't effect destiny at all. It just forces you to relive an event until whatever Itachi wants Kabuto to do, happens. Which could be a long time from now? -_-

Honestly, seems like using Susanoo's Sealing Sword from would be far more effective. Kabuto wouldn't see that the sword was out, because he blinded himself. That, and he can join Orochimaru inside! I mean, that sounded more like a Win-Win for Kabuto?

Don't forget Itachi is an Edo Tensei, so any loss wouldn't be noticed as much. And I think the blanked eye is there to symbolize the loss of the eye.

Looks like the jutsu could of be activated via touch when Kabuto steps on the crow feathers IMO. Second times this happens he notices it. I love the mangastream translation. It adds so much frustration to the scene. Kabuto was furious that having high intelligence and strength he was still caught by something he didn't even notice. Like his master Itachi has caught Kabuto in an everlasting loop.

The Sword of Totsuka made no sense here. Itachi needs Kabuto to release Edo Tensei and with his eyes shielded, nothing else was going to work. In trapping him in genjutsu that he can't escape, Kabuto's ultimately going to be forced to end the jutsu.

Its not just a geniutsu its the genjutsu even more supierior to itachi's tsukuyomi. Granted you lose one of your eyes it's a forbidden jutsu for a reason. How will he stop edo tensei we will see next week. Actually izanami seems similar to the sealing genjutsu itachi uses with susanoo kabuto is trapped and he can't do shit about it.

I said before he casted it back when kabuto "stabbed" him. He really does make sasuke look like a rookie actually with all the recent events that happened sasuke really needs to start training for real naruto is completley on a whole other level itachi has just shown that he is still leagues above sasuke. Sasuke ever since gaining ms really went downhill.

Can't wait for next week Hopefully we will see tobi vs naruto.

Also like how being an Edo Tensei does NOT stop him from losing the sharinghan in that eye. Means he can't spam it.

The only reason he could use it this way is because he can't be killed in that body, pretty good Kishi. I notice the creativeness of this, if no one else does.

The sharinghan is the most prized thing the Uchiha have, it is forbidden to use those techs because you lose that. NOT because they are so over powered.

I don't think Izanami is a touch type genjutsu. Remember what Tobi said about casting Tsukuyomi on the moon? It's something like that but smaller.

Let me explain: Since the moon itself has reflective light, a jutsu like the Infinite Tsukuyomi would be able to reflect on the surface. Now look at the last chapter when Itachi activated the jutsu. He activated it when Kabuto started crying. And since water can reflect light, Itachi's genjutsu reflected on Kabuto's tears which went through the tiny sliver on his eye shield and reflected directly on his eyes. So Kabuto got caught in the genjutsu without having to look at Itachi or shield his eyes.

Pretty genius move by Itachi. Play Kabuto's emotions long enough to make him cry buckets...
