1. A basic quote

(the * need to be removed for it to work, I put them in so you can see the text) is a basic quote that just wraps something in a quote without saying who quoted it who quoted so

2. A quote that says who said it

Where X is the post number.

For the post that i originally quoted it would look like this

That is what you get when you press the quote button.

4. Breaking up a quote

Now that you know how quotes work it all boils down to preference, how you want it to look like and how you want to do it.

One way of doing it is copying the latter part of the original quote [*/QUOTE] and then pasting it after each section you break up, write your reply, choose the text you want then paste it after that portion, repeat till you finish the go back and copy then paste the first part of the text at the beginning of each portion of text. Of course you can immediately copy and paste both parts of a poste so that you dont forget one in the end.

The end result would be something like this

[*QUOTE=minato uchiha;2118164]Ok Stubborn donkey,[*/QUOTE]
My reply 1
[*QUOTE=minato uchiha;2118164] how do you break it up please[*/QUOTE]
my reply 2
[*QUOTE=minato uchiha;2118164]and if your not willingly to tell me, [*/QUOTE]

Another way of doing it would be to cut and paste the second part of the quote tag after the first section of text you want to seperate then write your reply select the second part and hit he quote button (it looks like a text bubble),if you do that without anything else the end result would be

To make it like the previous example (which wpuld be preferred, though not necessary ) copy the part that says who posted with the link to the post and paste it accordingly to the proper part in each first half of each quote tag. In my I would copy =minato uchiha;2118164 and paste it where the # is
[*QUOTE#] to get [*QUOTE=minato uchiha;2118164] (of course with the * removed)


Of course you can use any other method you like to get to the end result, but now that you know what the end rwsult looks like I think there shouldnt be any problems

SD - I don't know the specifics on the phasing ability with Tobi but I'm pissed that a counter to the technique or some inherent weakness hasn't been written in to at least make it more of a risky maneuver. Besides having a 5min limit I don't recall an explanation of that aspect of it. Hell Kyuubi mode and Sage mode have major risks and limitations that at least make sense. I'm sick of that pussy stuff. Too easy to avoid the actual fighting in my opinion.

There is a counter and its called "countertiming". It is where u attack ur opponent at the same moment he attacks u... as opposed to making him miss then attacking or trying to attack him right before he attacks u on his way in to close the gap.

Tobi uses his intangible jutsu to avoid an attack then immediately become tangible and counter... if u attack during his counter u can hit him because he has to be tangible to attack u... Fu and turune as well as minato figured this out.

Another tactic that is effective against tobi's intangible jutsu is combination attack. As long as his enemy is attacking he cannot perform an attack of his own, forced to be completely defensive. Or simply attack tobi every time he tries to do anything physical like a hand sign, strike or even his time space jutsu... if tobi's enemies can attack him every time he tries something then he would never be able to revive the juubi because he is too busy having to go intangible to avoid a constant barrage.

Also, if someone can move fast enough that tobi cannot even react to activate his intangible jutsu then direct blitz attacks would work as well. However, that is a hell of allot of speed, but minato proved it can be done when he tagged tobi then used the FTG to land a direct attack before tobi could even react. Another reason naruto needs the FTG, shushin is not fast enough.

KYF - oh I agree, Minato accomplished it with the FTG level 2. That's one freakn guy considered the best shinobi of his era out of countless people. It just discourages a really thorough battle. That chick Konen was the only other person but it took billions of fuckn paper bombs and he used the Sharigan to evade even that with Izanagi which he shouldn't have been able to do with more risk anyway. He never lost his damn sight from that either.
Just my peeve rant about that when Kishi and other predictors write fight scenes with Tobi.
-Speaking of writing, the fanfic/prediction threads are open for business. When are you dropping again?
