For Obito, I don't have much to say. Lol. The best explanation I can think of is time flowing differently in the alternate dimension. It is possible he was miraculously saved by say, Madara, tended to and healed by Zetsu, and trained(possibly brainwashing). Woke the third tomoe of his SG, which was all the power he needs (dude does kamui with regular SG) and since he is Uchiha, there goes Kyuubi.

Kubo didn't even bother to show some of the fight, i wanted to see Kenpachi use his 2 arms again or he just doesn't bother using anything other than his faparm anymore

I'm going to go with what another poster suggested being that he was crushed, he unlocked somehow how to use that kamui body transfer into an alternate dimension.

There he stayed and hyper trained/aged, aka dbz time chamber.

Remember kishi has a hard on for everything dragonball so its entirely possible that he used his version of time chamber.

That or obito was saved by zetsu, but i think the above fits to his constant praising of the the db franchise.

Didn't think about that. Nice one. But that still doesn't explain the long haired Tobi. Also, when Itachi was talking to the long haired Tobi before the massacre he was huge compared to Obito who looks pretty small. Unless Itachi was small (considering he was 14).

I just realized no matter who Kishi chose to be Tobi there would have been plotholes. He got himself in this situation by keeping it for so long. He didn't even know who Tobi was going to be when he created him. Think about it, if Kishi made Tobi Izuna then there would have been plotholes. Same with Kagami or Shisui.
