Holy shit Black Star is the boss. All need to be said. Interesting turn of events but I will wait until I know folk have read the chapter before getting into it.

I was expecting to see more Kid, but more blackstar boosting isn't too bad.

Really hope Soul doesn't give into the black blood...I just hate that plot device power up

I mean it is a deserved power up....it hasn't been consistent nor stable enough to use. Soul is by far the only one who has been left behind in terms of power..his usage of the black blood and his sound (piano) keeps him on par with the rest. I wanted more of Kidd..but the story even the drawing was so focused on making Kidd look like Kishinn. Kidd was left to his rageful thoughts and Black Star focused his actions on the center stage. Swallowing Kishinns entire laser beam into his own mouth and throwing it back at him. Loved it..even if it was a mere second..Black Star will surpass a god! Now that the fight is about to be taken to the kishinn head on...hoping we get to see some super Death God Techs mixed in with some Black Star swag!

I think at this point Black Star's ridiculously uber moves are tongue-in-cheek and aren't necessarily indicative of his current or future power level. Not saying it's a bad thing, it's actually pretty neat. Only problem I have with this chapter is that it the connection between Kid and the Kishin being brothers seems a little ham-fisted. Not implausible, but I think it could've been handled... better. I'm not sure how, since it's a direction I didn't really see coming, but that's my thought.

I wish this manga updated more often while keeping the quality of art and writing. Unfortunately, that isn't really possible.

Agreed. The sudden brothers thing just is a bit much. More needed to be revealed before this. Kishin has been a villain for a long while, would have been nice to have it set up a bit better.

Black*Star's moves are powerful but they are totally mostly for show. He's flashing and brash, it's not a surprise that his attacks did nothing. The eating the laser was odd but good to see it made him puke blood. He's damaged now, wonder how far they'll take it.

More black blood. Wonder where they'll take this - towards madness, rejection or control of the blood?

at this point I am only hoping for control. We have seen what the Black blood has done with people such as Maka, Crona and the Kishin. I want to see someone in control of it. In addition Soul needs it to become a stronger and sit par with the rest. Tsubaki has been upgraded and has unique variations as a weapon. I would love to see Soul get a proper spotlight.
