Okay well i had some spyware, nothing named close to what you said so i guess it is not that problemi had a few cookies and that was about it.

You didn't have anything that had more than 1 red bar worth of threat level?

Okay, are you running Windows XP? If, AND ONLY IF, you are running Windows XP, search for a program called Winsock-Fix (or it might be called WinsockxpFix). Use it. Try and create backups, but if it doesn't let you, then don't worry. It's not doing anything very harmful that would require backups that cannot be fixed just by using System Restore.

Added: okay this only happens sometimes, like later in the day not usually in the morning or late night. I have a wireless router connecting upstairs too.

D4rKR34v3r i suggest u go and format your computer....i do that when my com something wrong...but all the songs and files will be gone....last time my problem like yours...my internet connection fail then i go format my com and everyting all in good condition....

No, Kakashi. He should NOT just reformat his computer. That is a really BAD idea. Please don't give bad advice to people in here... They might take it and then be more fucked then they started.

So you used WinSockFix and things are still screwy? You have a new modem... What kind? DSL? 56k?

Try reinstalling your Ethernet card driver. (Right click on My Computer and go to Hardware and then to Device Manager. Are there any yellow question marks? If so, you need to fix that.)
