Although it kinda spoils the ending for ya around the end... Anyways its a really good anime, the song going along with this AMV makes the events even more sad...

Ahhh.... Havent watched this anime, read a bit of the manga thanks to Artie... If I watch it, the ending will be ruined.... To watch or not to watch *bites lower lip*

Basilisk is an amazing series. I watched it, Samurai 7 and Trinity Blood around the same time, and while it was the worst of those three overall, it's still one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen. Everyone who hasn't seen it should watch it.
Don't watch it if (slight spoiler) you don't like tragedies, as it is one.

Actually, lol, I recommend you watch it, if violence is what interests you... well then, Basilisk has a shit load of violence :P

That AMV didn't show action scenes though as it would've probably strayed from the picture the guy was trying to get out with that AMV.

Also, I liked Samurai 7 as well, but I would have to say I liked Basilisk more (simply because I compared the REAL Samurai 7 to the anime version, and although it was somewhat accurate - minus the machines and whatnot, I still preferred the original B&W Seven Samurai).

Although I did not like Ninja Scroll that much, I must admit Basilisk kinda reminds me of it (I guess the part where they got wierd ninja's or villians).

It's not that long. The mangas were only about 39 chapters long (but they had more pages then the usual mangas o_O).

Basilisk pwns. Violence, sex, big boobies and amazing fights. I've read all the manga but I have yet to watch the episodes ._.

Yeah, I beleive the anime is about 24 episodes long or so...

Yeh, there's 24 episodes. And 6n6 is right about everything he mentioned the show having, though some may not find the "big boobies" as enticing as others *cough*Bobby*cough* *shifty eyes*
Also, Kouga Gennosuke is awesome.
