Xbox 360 overheating

can someone tell be about the 360 overheating problems?

I think as it is such a powerful console it takes alot of power to work, but there is a product on play.com that actually prevents the X-box 360 from overheating. Here's the link: http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/ST...0/Product.html

Too bad you shouldn't have to buy an extra, 3rd party device, to make your console run at a good temperature. Also, a group of German guys who dismantled a 360 and found that a piece of protective foil had never been removed from the GPU heatsink, thus the overheating. Way to go Microsoft and ATI.

well first of all, how is the xbox 360 placed? If you stand it up, you'll cover up the fans on the bottom and thus cause it to overheat. Some stupid people never knew that and fucked up their consoles....poor them. =P
