There was no explanation as to why the Dark One granted her access to that. I also figured she was the one behind Asmodean's death, but I'd like to know how she did it instead of having a vague hint from Shaidar Haran.
I was really stoked about Graendal surviving and sacrificing another forsaken for her. And also how she did it, let Aran'gar's pet Aes'sedai weave the compulsion etc. But I thought she might be more of a pain in the ass for Perrin and so on. Her trap for Perrin and the Whitecloaks was kind of obsolete and well, being able to control Slayer to wreak havoc in Tel'aran'rhiod and not using him more...that was weak.

Definitly. I was really wondering where Jordan/Sanderson are going with his character. Some kind of Gollum theme? I am still puzzled, and hoping that it will all be resolved in 14.

Yeah, I would have liked more info on the things going on in the Black Tower. And it all points to a split in the Asha'man in the Last Battle as well. Good vs. Evil.

I know they can make gateways but with what she saw during her second trip through the pillars combined with her not knowing the grounds near that valley, I don't know how fast she'll get away from the Wise Ones to go get pregnant.
Didn't she already sleep with Rand? But no, that was too long ago. I am puzzled as well as in when Rand will knock her up. Perhaps the night before the Last Battle we will have a nice foursome scene.

Rand vs. Taim would be overkill dude. Rand would kill him even shielded by all the Asha'man in the Tower. He has the True Power, and if Taim is not a forsaken, and only a mere dreadlord, I see no survival chance for him. Logain on the other hand, with Aes'sedai linked circles smashing Taim and his supporters, showing that combined power with the sisters is supperior to them, would make a lot of more sense. And it will be more awesome. Also, I think the dude who talked with the Red sister at the end of the book will bond her or the other way around and kick ass. And clearly, the other Aes Sedai are under some kind of compulsion.

Same here. Like I said before, even as a tool, he could have been much more dangerous. For example, Slayer would have just killed Egwene and the complete Tower in the fight.

Especially with the marriage arrangements for Perrin and Elayne's children set up in the bargain.
Rand will raise Manetheren I think. And with Elayne becoming the queen of Cairhrien as well, I see at least 2 new Old Kingdoms. The borderlands mybe reformed as well. But fuck it, what about the Seanchan Empire?

Damn yes. Nynaeve was the character I liked the least in the beginning and now she is one of my favorite female characters in the series. She and Lan will make bloody fine king and queen of Malkier.
And the delving is awesome. I see male and female channelers working together again after Rand gives Egwene a nice spanking and shows her that Saidin is cleansed.

FUCKING THOR ! But yeah the hammer scene was awesome. Perrin will create more power weapons, I can think of one for some of the fighters named more often, like Tallmanes (if he hasn't got one already) or Logain etc.

Yeah the battle was cool. And the best scene was when Perrin was there and she was like 'sorry Perrin, it is too dangerous here for you here in the Dream' and was about to restrain him. And he just shrugged of the restraints shook his gead and laughed at her. Damn that was awesome. But like I said, Slayer would have annihilated all the Aes Sedai in the Dream, just like that. I wonder why the Forsaken didn't use him to do that.

Another awesomeness, was the battle in this northern city, where Rand unleashed his fury on this enormous trolloc army. Fuck yeah.

Well, let's hope that all the questions will be answered with "A Memory of Light".

Now, I'll admit to have read Lord of the Rings nine times... but Salem's Lot fifteen times? Isn't there a library nearby or something?

Re: What book are you currently reading?

I just finished reading Leap of Faith -Danielle Steel the other day.. I liked it, because I have an obsession for obsessive love stories... lolol. And then I started reading her other book called Matters of the heart and I was pissed! It was pretty much the same story-line as the other book! Although I liked it until I realized it xD But I didn't want to read the same shit all over again, so yeah :/ tsk tsk

Re: What book are you currently reading?

Book Twelve is done. Book Thirteen: Towers of Midnight is... "in transit." Damn library. Well, only took me 5 months to pretty well catch up. I was able to go read all those posts you guys discussed when I was reading book one. Amusing.

Anyway, while I wait, I am going to start another series, The Darkwar Saga by Raymond E. Feist. Book One: Flight of the Nighthawks.

Also, heard some good news. Book Two of the Kingkiller Chronicles is due out March 1. This is a trilogy being written by Patrick Rothfuss. Book one was Name of the Wind, book two is The Wise Man's Fear. It is a great series. I have been awaiting book two more than anything from WoT and probably at least just as much as book six of Song of Fire and Ice. Highly recommended.

Re: What book are you currently reading?

I should start to read "normal" books again sometime after my tests. I think I'll start with A Song of Ice and Fire, wanted to get that for some time now.
Thanks though, for all the other titles, I will look into them.

Lately I've been reading some old school SF that I haven't previously read, mostly Jules Verne and H.G. Wells

Quotes for noobs (learn how to break up a quote)
Quote:

So you can post the second bit and i shouldnt be allowed to if i dont tell you? Why be so rude?

Anyways, here is a quotes for noobs guide

1. A basic quote

[*QUOTE][*/QUOTE]

(the * need to be removed for it to work, I put them in so you can see the text) is a basic quote that just wraps something in a quote without saying who quoted it who quoted so

[*QUOTE]this is a quote[*/QUOTE] without any * would look like
Quote:
this is a quote

Edit: there is a button for this, it looks like a speech bubble. If you select text and then press the button the selected text will automatically be wrapped with the quote tag

2. A quote that says who said it

[*QUOTE=who said it][*/QUOTE] this adds who said the post, manually putting that there can be useful when quoting something external. Example:

[*QUOTE=Mangastream]Remember all you sexy bastards out there, Naruto, Bleach, OP, FT, etc. all on break this week. Feel free to take your rage out on us[*/QUOTE] without any * would look like
Quote:

3. A quote that says who said it and links to the post where it was said

[*QUOTE=who said it;X][*/QUOTE]

Where X is the post number.

For the post that i originally quoted it would look like this

[*QUOTE=minato uchiha;2118164]Ok Stubborn donkey, how do you break it up please and if your not willingly to tell me, then please DONT offer me no advice in future[*/QUOTE]

That is what you get when you press the quote button.

4. Breaking up a quote

Now that you know how quotes work it all boils down to preference, how you want it to look like and how you want to do it.

One way of doing it is copying the latter part of the original quote [*/QUOTE] and then pasting it after each section you break up, write your reply, choose the text you want then paste it after that portion, repeat till you finish the go back and copy then paste the first part of the text at the beginning of each portion of text. Of course you can immediately copy and paste both parts of a poste so that you dont forget one in the end.

The end result would be something like this

[*QUOTE=minato uchiha;2118164]Ok Stubborn donkey,[*/QUOTE]
My reply 1
[*QUOTE=minato uchiha;2118164] how do you break it up please[*/QUOTE]
my reply 2
[*QUOTE=minato uchiha;2118164]and if your not willingly to tell me, [*/QUOTE]
my reply 3
[*QUOTE=minato uchiha;2118164]then please DONT offer me no advice in future[*/QUOTE]
my reply 4

Which without any * would look like

Another way of doing it would be to cut and paste the second part of the quote tag after the first section of text you want to seperate then write your reply select the second part and hit he quote button (it looks like a text bubble),if you do that without anything else the end result would be

[*QUOTE=minato uchiha;2118164]Ok Stubborn donkey,[*/QUOTE]
My reply 1
[*QUOTE] how do you break it up please[*/QUOTE]
my reply 2
[*QUOTE]and if your not willingly to tell me, [*/QUOTE]
my reply 3
[*QUOTE]then please DONT offer me no advice in future[*/QUOTE]
my reply 4

Which would look like

Quote:

my reply 4

To make it like the previous example (which wpuld be preferred, though not necessary ) copy the part that says who posted with the link to the post and paste it accordingly to the proper part in each first half of each quote tag. In my I would copy =minato uchiha;2118164 and paste it where the # is
[*QUOTE#] to get [*QUOTE=minato uchiha;2118164] (of course with the * removed)

Of course you can use any other method you like to get to the end result, but now that you know what the end rwsult looks like I think there shouldnt be any problems

^ Most people who've read it are divided between love and hate on that one. I'm interested to hear your take once you are done.

Now reading: Darkwar Saga, Book 2: Into a Dark Realm by Raymond E. Feist.

Honestly cant get enough of the book, that's why I read it so much. Doesnt mean I dont read other books. I just read that book whenever I have nothing better to read.

And speaking of which on Indigo Blues now.

I haven't read a proper novel in a while. The last thing I read was ... sheesh. I can't even remember. I've classically been a sci-fi and fantasy fan.
