The Pack by Jason Starr.

Don't know what it is but I keep getting into supernatural books lately.

Re: What book are you currently reading?

I'm reading the third book in the Monstrumologist series by Rick Yancey, called Isle of Blood. The title makes it sound like a lame kiddie series, but the books are incredible. The last two books get extremely poetical and philosophical, and they're just beautifully written. That guy has a great writing style. Plus it has a tasteful amount of written gore, though every bit of it serves a purpose and isn't just "there" for the sake of making it bloody.

Just finished Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None." Gonna start up Bram Stoker's "Dracula" soonish.

Re: What book are you currently reading?

I highly recommend "The Tenth of December" to everyone. A collection of short stories by George Saunders; unique style, very easy read, highly entertaining and sometimes thought provoking. I've one short story left, but so far "My Chivalric Fiasco" is probably my favourite, or "Escape from Spiderhead."

Re: What book are you currently reading?

So I don't do this anymore but just as a minor update - I'm close to finishing book 9 of 10 of the Malazan Book of the Fallen and if you like fantasy novels, like really really enjoy the genre, you need to read this one next. All of it. Don't bitch and complain about the style or the lack of backstory, read it.

It is far and away the BEST fantasy series I have ever read. Depth, complexity, world building and narrative doesn't get any better than this. But again, it really is just for those who enjoy fantasy. Not as accessible or straight forward as Song of Ice and Fire.

Re: What book are you currently reading?

I've been reading The Horus Heresy series. If you know anything about Warhammer 40k and like it, then these books are for you. Otherwise, I think they'd be enjoyable to fans of sci-fi, but a lot of it is based on context within the universe.
