What would Lightning element be called?

We all know that there are 5 element in Naruto series, whenever a ninja used an element jutsu, they always shout the name of the element first then the name of the jutsu (ex:Katon,Goukakyuu no Jutsu) so Fire is Katon, Wind is Fuuton, Earth is Doton, Water is Suiton, then what will Lightning element be called? Raiton perharps?Any suggestion anybody

I hope you do know that those words are the Japanese words for those english words or terms right? Like how Tjuu Kage Bunshin No Jutsu=Mass Shadow Clone Technique. And yes Raiton is the Japanese word for Lightning.

But this post belongs some place else I believe.

ya its raiton but the reason they dont say that is that lightning isnt like other elements i can guess that lightning jutsu is very rare and there are not many lightning jutsus out there now i forgot if kakuzus yelled raiton or not

it's kinda weird that Kakashi said that he has Lightning element and he hasn't perform any different lightning jutsu besides Raikiri, sure hope he can perform some of them in later chapters

The reason to why he can't perform anything besides Raikiri is because like lesserblade said, there aren't very many raiton jutsus. In fact, jutsus for all elements are rare. Did you know that a jutsu needs to be invented by someone first before it can be used? Ya you can just summon lightning chakra in your hand. Ok, now what? You have to make a jutsu out of that. And making elemental jutsus isn't exactly your average make up a name and poof. It takes years to make one let alone perfect one. Even the Yondaime himself didn't finish the rasengan. Kakashi made a modified version off the chidori called raikiri so it wasn't that hard to make. But the element jutsus, also keep in mind that there are only 2 elements per user, and not all the elements are common in a group of users. Lightning is an element that not many jutsus are known. As of this moment as we know the manga anyway. So therefore more common and more traditional elements such as fire and water are much more easier to conjure. Ordinary jutsus that ninja use are summoned and used by material objects such as Temari's fan and Gaara's gourd and sand. Those are summoned by shouting juukempo, or ninpou. Elemental jutsus however are much harder to conjure and use so the former is used mostly by shinobi.
