I don't know how but my explorer.exe file got corrupt. I can't access any file or folder. I can open my Task Manager and even through that I can't open explorer.exe...It says "it's not a valid win32 file"

Please help me what should I do? I can't even see my desktop!!!!

I think I'm gonna kill myself because even all my mangas got deleted.

Go to Safe-Mode and see if the problems still there. If it is, check for malware or viruses - Run an anti-virus / malware remover. Malware/Anti Virus - http://www.narutolounge.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=13061

Have you still got your windows disk? I think they've got a repair option on it. You could try that.

your explorer.exe file got corrupted? What the heck did you do with your comp anyway the best thing to do is system restore your comp.

I think the best option would be to repair Windows, like CCQQTJ said.
You can do it if you have a the Windows disc for the version of Windows you're using.

Yeah you mybe have a hacker that got in your comp. A hacker was in my comp but my mom run Anti spyware and all that stuff. Make sure to download the stuff that product your comp or else the hacker just going to do it again

That happened to me once I killed my explorer.exe process and couldn't touch anything I restarted it and it was fine. I'll assume that you got some kinda virus so either run an antivirus from outside windows or use a non IE window exploration program like avant browser to view your files and run the antivirus from there if you can, if you don't have an alternate browser then this is useless .

well...its not really usless....since its only his start menu and icons got removed.....meaning that everything else should be intact....so if he uses his task manager....i assume you know how to get to it...if u dont its:

alt+ctrl+delete

just run whatever antivirus software you have from there....

...wait i just remmembered...if you have any one else in the house that uses the computer...it could be there fault.....cuzz all it really takes is moving the file from its original directory...and that would probably really fuck it up....if you wanna know if its there or not....

just go to : my computer > local disk c > WINDOWS > explorer.exe

if you dont find explorer.exe in the windows directory....then that means someone's been messing with your comp

I have already fixed it. I copied a brand new explorer file from my XP cd to the windows folder. Actually the previous file got corrupted and it wasn't any virus.
