there is no reason to send extra ppl get shikamaru. it would be a waste of team strength. somehow Hidan is alive. rember sarutobi's greatest fire attack just gave him some burns. even though shikamaru's attack was over kill i think Sakura will most likely break Hidans Technique that makes him survive those devastating attacks. Hidian uses some type of medical skill witch sakura is skilled at. plus sakura is also skilled in attack evasion witch counters hidians blood ability. Sakura is the perfect one to Fight hidian.

Naruto is the only one there with the endurance to keep killing that other ataksuki member hearts. he lost 2 so far. Kakashi cant keep up with him. if naruto doesn't kill that guy. then he will escape and warn the Ataksuki that Konohoa killed yet another member. The likely hood of him escaping is high because u can never really know when he is dead.
