Why Is It Called The Legend Of Zelda? Shouldn't It Be Called The Legend Of Link?

I heard it was called Legend of Zelda in the first place was because when you (Link) saves Impa from the monsters, she tells you the "legend of Zelda" in which she was wanted because she held the Triforce of Wisdom but she split it into eight pieces before being captured from Ganon. Also she told Impa to find a courageous young man to gather the Triforce of Wisdom pieces, defeat Ganon, and ultimately save Hyrule on her behalf.
But really, I think the legend is called after her because the Triforce is the quiessential of the whole legend. Only the Royal Family knows what really is going on for everything. They also held the whole Triforce before the separation of Hyrule and the Sacred Realm. Zelda is the most important royale as we know of. Also as someone said before, the princess is the key; for example in OoT, she posesses the Ocarina of Time. In WW, the hidden Zelda holds the Triforce of Wisdom, and many other games, she possesses something or is needed to beconsequently used for evil's motives.
