I'm not really a fan of the horror genres but I have played and loved a few. Most scary? Probably Doom 3 or Silent Hill4: The room

Gnome I think was the title....it was a VERY old computer game i played with my dad when i was like, 4!

i was so scared, that i couldn't watch, only press 'X' and 'Z' to fire ammo and hope that i killed the guys....XD

Resident Evil is my favorite game,but RE is scary because of the sudden sounds.Silent Hill has he greater fear factor.RE1 is the best,and it has the horror factor even beyond SH.
Clive Barker's Undying is great also.
I played Call of Chtulhu not long ago,and it was a very good and scary game in the beginning,but the second part of was a let down.

Resident Evil 3 when I was younger but I think Silent Hill tops it. Surrounding is too dark and all sorts of creatures pop out from nowhere.

RE 4 was pretty intense at some points made you constantly look over your shoulder cause the enimies didn't stand out, that was fun to play late at night.

Echo Night Beyond ( i think ) no enimies what so ever and still when you played it late at night, god it freaked me out, because your totally alone in that game, no weapons, never meet anybody and all you can do is walk and run and you have a flashlight which you have to recharge. They actually play out your charcters hearbeat and you can't let it go over a certain point or you die.And when ever you get near a ghost your heartbeat goes up, breathing heavier vision blackens, Very stupid game but it was kinda scary

Mine was probably one of the Halo games right after I listened to the backround music reversed on you tube. It scared the crap out of me, and I'm never going to touch Halo ever again.
