Jashin Religion/ Will of Fire
we all know the Jashin religion is the cult of hidan, and maybe within these cult he acquired immortality.... although his existence and past hasnt been tackled further, we can only speculate....
my speculation now is that if hidan acquired immortality through that religion, their maybe other people who also have acquired immortality meaning he isnt the only one that has acquired immortality...*gasped* more idiots! lol XD it is also pointed out that konoha may hav a religion, said by the akatsuki leader that they are beyond "godless" and that past shinobis were taken as divinities of konoha.... so i speculate that the Will of Fire maybe some kind of religion to konoha other than this info, u guys can add up but only anything about jashin religion and the Will of Fire belief... wat do u think guys?

Re: Jashin Religion/ Will of Fire
I like where you are going with this but i dont think that hidan got his immortality from his religion. Think thats his jutsu and he just lived so long and is crazy and found that religion to his liking. I like the part about the will of fire i never really thought about it that way.

i would prefer that hidan's immortality has been with him from birth but thinking about that he would not age.... and he is seem young, i would say not about 40 yrs old of living becoz of his stupid and cocky attitude

here is the page, now the translation could be different than others. First i want to say that "i think" that hidans technic is a jutsu from his clan and not from his religon. With the "Will of Fire" it could be just respecting the ones before you. Fighting for the country that they live in, and the ninjas from the past and for the present and the future. I dont think that the "will of fire" means a religon in konoha. Its hard to explain, but then im not 100%. |

Re: Jashin Religion/ Will of Fire
well i think that his immortality does have somethin to do wit his religion and i think that all his clan has that religion but i think its going to be one of those things where only a select few from the clan get chosen to be one of the ones who gets the Immortality and also in that part the AL made the will of fire sound kinda dangerious and powerful

Re: Jashin Religion/ Will of Fire
the will of fire isnt a religion, but more of a moral code handed down and inherited by those who accept it.
Im connecting jashin to a type of jutsu. sandaime could summon the "death god" so im pretty sure jashin couldve been something like that. heres my take on it: jashin takes the user's soul, and for him to continue to survive he needs to continue to sacrfice people in order to stay alive. this could be true since hidan talks alot about using the people they kill as a sacrifice instead of taking their bounty

Re: Jashin Religion/ Will of Fire
Well I think that everyone is just giving Hidan's ability too much credit as being immortal. If you look at it logically from the manga.... if the immortality was a clan ability... then there would be more reputation for that clan already. So his abilities wouldn't have been such a shock for everyone from Konoha that had faced him. Second, if there was a clan... then don't you think that the AK would have just taken a team of them to go up against most of their targets. Third, immortality is an ultimate cheat in the ninja world. The clan that has that ability would own everything at this point since there hasn't been a way to kill them (think back to what kakuzu said... if he couldn't kill Hidan and he lived since the 1st Hokage.... then that would mean that the clan of Hidan would all/mostly been in existance now and well known by the other ninja villages).
This jutsu that he had just seemed to protect what would be considered his weak point. Think about it, if the leader of the AK is the strongest... regardless of his strength... why was Hidan to the second newest addition to the organization. he was weaker than other members ... but shouldn't really matter when you are immortal. So again, it isn't immortality... I just think he has a jutsu like Tsundae does...... but his last for months or so at a time. Something like that would be more practical. Now back to teh topic, the Will of Fire isn't a religion of Konoha.. but rather a mentality of the shinobi of Konoha. They honor the fallen and the cherish the teachings that were passed down to them. It is the mentality that is passed down to each generation from the last. The Will of Fire is as it states.... the "will' for a ninja to do something.

Re: Jashin Religion/ Will of Fire
so i re read the past chapters where hidan fights the two tailed beast and the chain he has and prays to is the same symbol as the circle he creates while using his jutsu could his religion have something to do with his jutsu

Re: Jashin Religion/ Will of Fire
wut would be funny is if Hidan was really jashin and a long time ago he got beat in the head to many times and lost his memory which is y there is that gap under his eye and he was foung by akatsuki and they just named him Hidan and he was looking through his old house he accidantly found a bible type of thing that had the religion of himself in it and started praying to himself and stuff which would kinda explain his immortality and his giant scythe and stuff

Re: Jashin Religion/ Will of Fire
i thought that the will of fire is what the konoha shinobi inherits? The will of protecting their village and loved ones? i think there's an ep where good'ol sandaime was still around, told this to iruka..
Well i think maybe Jashin religion/cult was something thats forbidden back in hidan's crib?

Re: Jashin Religion/ Will of Fire
I think that's right. Didn't Sandaime talk about it to Oro as well during their battle?

Re: Jashin Religion/ Will of Fire
I would like to say that this "will of fire" is an eastern thing in a way. In china and i guess in japan since this is their cartoon, people worship their ancestors, they think of them as their guardians i dont know.
Which is a normal thing but i dont think they believe in a god the way western people do (like myself) they have mythology (kyuubi and other supernatural animals) So i think that hidan represents a western guy-a crazy fanatic that believes in one god, thats what i think |
