I was just thinking couple weeks ago about what would happen if after the whole Orochimaru ordeal Naruto and Sakura managed to get Sasuke back to Konoha, do you think he would be put to jail for siding with the enemy or put on probation of the sort?

When Naruto becomes Hokage, Sasuke will be made the ANBU Captain or something. Or maybe he will just become a Jounin, but I can't really see him being anyone's sensei unless Itachi dies and Sasuke becomes much less emo.

With Sasuke and Naruto (assuming this also means that Aka is destroyed and Oro killed) the Konoha village would be ridiculously strong, though (considering they have guys like Neji and Shikamaru there as well), so maybe it will never happen. Who knows. I sure am a sucker for happy endings though, so I sort of hope it does.

First, I'll assume that Itachi is dead.

Sasuke will enter Konoha gate with a different personality. He'll smile a lot, speaks loudly, energetic, nice, and gives everybody 'good guy pose'.

Could you imagine that?

Anyway, he's done nothing wrong, except AWOL and hanging around with Orochimaru. When he kills Itachi, and maybe Orochimaru, all will be forgiven... but not forgotten.

Well, he did almost kill Naruto. Although he could argue that Naruto attacked him and it was in self-defense.

I think that he would be forgiven and if he is the kid who killed Oro the villain that killed the 3rd Hokage then he will be respected on the level of Naruto. Personally I would love to see the rookie 9 face off against AKA.

He wouldn't be jailed. He went with the enemy, but technically, he took no actions against Konoha. If he's back at Konoha, he'll probably train more, or go after Itachi.

Rmbr when haku first made his/her appearance, kakashi told the trio about what happens to shinobis who leave their villages..

i guess if he comes back on his own.. maybe light sentencing?

I think that if Sasuke comes back and has killed Orochimaru, he would most likely be forgiven since Orochimaru is a major enemy of the village, but if he killed Orochimaru and came back and they wanted to punish him could they even do it. I mean woldnt they understand how powerful he is to have killed Orochimaru and be kinda scard of his power as well as realize that he would be a very valuable asset to the village and could once again leave anytime he wanted to...but this all depends on weather or not he kills Orochimaru.

Nah,he would be welcomed in Konoha again as teh only surviving Uchiha,but I don't see Sasuke leading normal life since his whole life up untill now he lived only for revenge,and that kills people,or at least their taste of human psychology.

I think Sasuke will never be really happy ... When his brother dies I think he won´t return to Konoha ... in addition Kakashis said something like this too (the kill of his brother won´t change things)

B. They'll beat the crap out of him for leaving in the first place and then welcome him

I don't think he'll return unless Itachi is dead. I guess maybe he would be accepted back if he killed Oro. and helped take out Aka.
