Actually the creator of the fansubs, Kuro Hana, got a C&D (Cease and Decist) From Viz Media and ordered them to completely halt the fansubs of Death Note, because of copyright issues, and only with 1 episode left...

That sucks for the anime watchers. Have you seen the dubbed Death Note preview? It's horrible.
